APPLAUSE Engine - need info

Anybody here familiar with this engine please drop some info about it here. I joined a 4x4 forum from Australia and it seems that some of them uses this engine for their Rockys and Feroza...

I want to know more about its power, availability... heck... anything would do...:retarded:

i think applause using HD-E engine.
1.6L, injection, 4 cyl, 16v, single cam.

"adik beradik" engine deto. (HD-EG).

but maybe abit low HP than deto's. (100+?)
deto's are already tuned engine. hp around 125.

maybe u can convert to deto's engine for more power? hehheh..

usually they sell h.cut.

maybe u can try nego, or share with others the parts that u dont want.

Try contact Allan of Dream Machine at 012-2657005 and ask him about the price of the half-cut. His shop specialized in Charades. He can source you with a good half cut plus installation.

that blue colour applause is a sedan or hatchback... i'm not familiar... is there a hatchback applause.....?

i'm planning to convert a carbie Daihatsu Feroza to EFi... other forumers in an Australian forum suggested to me to look for this engine....

if im not mistaken.
applause is different from ascend. the exterior. interior and chasis im not sure.
applause that i saw have rectangular headlamp. rear disc brake(same as deto?)

applause is a really really old car...saw it only once till date. its definately diffrent from deto cause its as long as an ascend.

My suggestion u can go for detomaso engine if u still prefer a daihatsu engine and if u prefer others maybe got a slight problem with JPJ.


Currently deto halfcut is not expensive.maybe around 3k-4k or maybe less then that.

No matter either it old or not.But daihatsu serve me well. :_:

The Applause is an old car/engine. I doubt you will be able to find it even in the halfcut shops here. A better option would be to consider the new Terios engine or look for a Feroza one.

looking for Applause A101 halfcut? here, let me help you....

you go to Padang Jawa, Klang....near to JPJ Puspakom Pdg Jawa, there are 2 chop shops...look for the shop with 3 white 1.5i Espri halfcuts....1 of them is 4wd G213S, white color.....

go look in front of the counter...make sure you find the dark color A101 halfcut....might cost you halfcut....happy negotiating....
