guys i know its lame for me to ask this,..but i really need u guys help..
as i am a newbie in this automotive world..can sumone pls tell me the process to convert a e30/e36 into a nissan motor..im act studying in s.africa so over here we dun have chop shop like malaysia.over here they sell like motor diff,gbox is diff,wiring is diff..everything hv been separated alrdy.. and plus pomen2 sini xtaiko sgt lar.tuh yg susah..okie..can sumone pls explain to me...
- kalau e30 convert to sr20..wat do u need to use from the sr20 and wat can still b used from the e30..
-whatelse is suitable for e30??1jz??coz over here 1jz is more cheaper then sr20.but i need to know..pasal gbox and longshaft mcmana??can i use d bmw ori one??or do i hv to mody??i knw its a lot of que but iv been thinking of this car for so2 long..i hope u guys cn help me to mke my dream for now cme true..tq so much..

boss basically i think you need the engine,ecu and gbox,the rear diff should be able to recycle and minor mod need to be done at long shaft......not to mention engine mounting work,1j would also be another option........:burnout:
 
oowh okie..abt the rear diff i hope u cn explain it to me..n will there be any problem with d rear axle if im using d car for drag purpose??n the other que is wiring sume pakai ori punya ker kne rojak..ecu pkai yg hafkat one ryte..any pics would diff help..tanx joe..
 
mista-M...i'm using RB20DE in my E30...so far not have many problem...
use original diff if u want to remain std..if wanna heavy duty..got to rojak la..
wiring rojak and ecu from h.cut..better u used sr20det for E30...
 
another thing..bro orange can u post some of the detail pic beneath d car blh x??gmbr bhgian bwh..or whosoever yg da convert gk..and 1 moe thing..ade sesiape owner e36 wit 1j x?ke rb?iv got 1 fren in ampang using e36 with sr(lighten flywheel,exedy racing cp n few mods)..but his not in this web..so cnt help..n last time i went home he took me for a spin..i think the sr is not suitable with e36..1st,2nd gear rs berat jer..xtwla psl im using a fwd turbo before this..any opinion??n mslh dia hadapi psl long shaft..tuh je mslh die..anyhelp here?tanx..
 
payah nk amik gambar kat bhagian bawah la..ada 1 e36 kat kedah masuk RB20det...x kenal owner dia tp pomen yg buat tu saya kenal la...bro dok south africa kan?saya dgr dari tokei kedai potong, h.cut E30 kekurangan kat m'sia ni sebab jepun byk export ke south africa...e36 ni x sesuai masuk sr20det..rb20 pun still berat n kena byk performance parts la kalau nk power...rb25det/1jz mmg ok..2jz pun lg ok...masalah tu akan timbul bila pomen kita x expert atau x penah buat conversion bmw to japs seblum ni...x semua bmw convert jd mcm tu...

I plonked in RB25 auto into my E36 since I needed some instant extra power on tap..Initially wanted it to run on SR's but the sound of two extra cylinders makes me horny lah!But now V8s makes me wanna cum...Coming soon!hehe..
The mech who installed my engine did a shoddy job with the long shaft, oil sump etc..but I'm not here to whine bout him anyway..
I used to have prob with my long shaft..i mean,the E36's long shaft..
It vibrates like hell until the next mech (present) mods another one and send it for more proper balancing..
The oil sump definitely have to mod as the cross member block its way..
And oil level indicator aka dipstick was also repositioned..

what else arrr?..:hmmmm:

Mine involves more headache in terms of wiring since its an auto tranny..
I'll keep you informed of any other things that needs to be mod coz now my brain seems to function with only 30% capability..ngantuk bro..siang tadi penat lapah daging!hehehe..
and btw, the above mods refers to my car..I'm sure in this Boleh Land other mech have different opinion on way to do things..

you Sud Afrika kat Joberg or Cape Town?..I really missed those place ler..
 
Have a friend who bought a 1987 E30 320i with RB25 but eventually he threw the engine out of the engine bay and plunk in E36 325i. Sincerely, I have nothing against those who does this mods on Bimmers or Merc but IMHO, these German machines are meant to use their own parts and engine. My 16 year old Merc is still using its original engine and it never fails me, no power bro?? you are right but are u measuring it in a horsepower unit or what? German cars have low horsepower but it has high torque. Remember, u want the power in your car, but by taking a shortcut by plunking japs engine is not a wise answer then. I have always appreciated the German technologies. Viva German technologies.
 
mista_M...ikut mekanik kat tmpat u la..kalau mekanik tu pro conti-japs...bleh la masuk japs engine..kalau x brapa expert...maintain ori engine...belambak kat sana..kat msia ni h.cut e30 dh pupus n harga melambung...so..think wisely like bro fardell said...if u are highway cruiser better go for bmw engines...if u are traffic light crazy...go for japs...
