Brake Pads..Brake system

Yeah GT may have it right. May be to thin already after skimming.

hye...need some help here

i currently running on VR4 single port with Mintex pad and as u all know..
VR4 is PCD 114 but im using it on my Wira which mean i make PCD 100 hole.

do you guys know wut rotor/disk that have PCD 100 and same diameter size with Vr4 disk?:banghead:

VR-4 diameter is 276MM? i think Evo 1-3 uses the same diameter bro.You might want to confirm this with some mech or do own measurements in halfcut shop.I hope this helps

Wah..sounds confusing...
1. You may have done in your newly skimmed rotors which your mechanic should be able to check.
2. Some brake pads dont go so well with different rotors, so check it out.
3. Some pads may even kill your rotors.
You should check with other sifus on the compatable ones for accord.
Good luck bro...keep us posted on your endeavour.

do u mean they left the old steel plate at the back of the pad?if i'm not mistaken it wont effect
ur brake pad cos it still will be push by the piston.standard honda pad wont emit sound.i think
it's ur rotor.cl1 is 9 years old.i think u need to change the rotor liow.
yeah..i'm thinking like that also. but if i change the rotor, sure need to change the pads also. will do it when i'm free....thanks for the advise..really helpfull

Whats a value for money aftermarket pads these days? So many in the market.

Yeah..i think dat too, mintye also good what..

They give advice on the big billboard on the NKVE to remind us to drive safety..

What a caring brake pads..hihi..

i'm not very sure about the degrees coz i'm not very focus on my brake system..

just a regular service and inspection i made myself..

That time is rm50,i'm not very sure what currently price now..hmmm..:hmmmm:

The reason of this post is to start a topic mainly just on the braking system.

Please leave your comments on what brake pads you're using,

If you're using 2 pot , 4 pot ,6 pot.

How you feel about the pad performance...

If you have changed to steel braded hose, what was the difference like?

I'm using Brembo 4-pot front & 2-pot behind. I used Ralliart brake pads before and changed to Project µ Brake Pads 0-600 degC (front). Bought from kakimotor for RM600.

On the performance, the grips are superb :top: but ensure not to wash ur rims/disc brakes while they're still hot. let them cool down 1st after u park ur car.or else the pads will stick to the disc surfaces and u'll end up skimming all ur disc brakes :bawling:

If I'm not mistaken, I think your single pot VR4 differs from Evo 1 - 3... its only same as VR4 twin pot... go check it out man, I can't be too certain as I was just thinking logically... :)

brake pads are not the only way to stop the car fast.. good tyres will help as well n it reduces locking...

bendix metal king uses abrasive material n will eat your rotors... N not all EBC is for use on street.. coz sum will only perform at certain heat... braided hose improve brakings by making lever shorter n easier to tap to feel braking...

Agree with Luka,

good brakes, bad tires = pointless...

at the beginning of the thread i have mentioned, instead of going for extreme brake pads,we should consider having the steel braided hoses..maybe crossdrilled and slotted rotors...and good street pads like ferodo, some mentioned ebc, lumberg...

wahhh..got a lot of experiment b4 get a good brake..

tyres+disc+pads should work together..

i think body weight also effect in a good brake..

more lighter more effective the braking..hihi..
