Can I go 18"??????

Hi there every1!!!!
I own a 1990 MR-2 Turbo. she's currently runnin on 17s that too when i turn i scrape the inside of the fender wall. I jus got a new paint job done along with a bodykit so every1z telln me to go 18s so i wanna know if i can do that!!!

I'am also runnin on stock suspensions. I think i need to change them. So please suggest a good coilover as well. THANX FOR UR TIME!!!!

Just make sure the offset is right for the car, also your tire size.

as for iexit..........bro this is where iam stuck i don't know much about the offset and all that so it would be great if you could send me the exact numbers i'am supposed to be lookin at!!

the tyre size the offset and so on. I want the 18 to be deep dish at the rear and slim at the front. If you know what i mean. u mostly see them on the supras & skyline! But over here its pretty hard to find!! but i'll so my best!

As for why i stopped at 18s is cuz 18s should already be heavy enough, and we drag race on the streets now and then so i don't wanna push it with the weight!

the 18" might not pass the stock suspension......like 1 guy having prob with the absorber saucer....

yeh i read that post......i will be gettin TEIN coilovers, now its just the rims that are bothering me!!! since like i mentioned earlier i have no knowledge of the measurements

yes u will hav problem getting good front tyres....and 18" low profiles tyres is expensive

Maybe Meister can give you the config for his car.. he is running 18" with stock suspension....

I don't think i'm gonna slap 18s on with stock suspensions. I will be changing the suspensions for sure. but the only thing i need to know is the correct measurements for the 18s and the right tyre size!!

CUSCO is better, i don't like the tein HA'ss although both my cars use them, maybe the new ones are better

how about set it to 17" front,18" rear & add the spacers?can it be improving the handling n more stable when take the corner?

I have alreay bought 18s for the front and the back so its fine!i guess its should handle fine. She should be good to behave like a street Weapon cuz she ain't a track Monster!!

215/40 ZR17 in the front
225/45 ZR17 at the back

so what do you think it should be when I upgrade the rims to 18"?
