car service checklist

my car is reaching 70,000km mileage and thinking of getting my car serviced, i've got a guideline from directional to service my citroen zx.

Engine Oil
Oil Filter
Transmission Oil
Auto Transmission Oil
Coolant - All Model
Brake Fluid
Spark Plugs - BX, ZX, Xantia, XM 2.0
Spark Plugs - XM 3.0
Air Filter
Power Steering Fluid - ZX
Timing Belt - ZX, Xantia, XM

Has anyone actually changed the transimission oil/brake fluid/power steering fluid?

The items yiou listed should be replace but not sure about your timing belt and V belt. I got mine changed at 80K.

Transmission fluid must be changed for smoother gear change and longer life. I change my brake fluid every 9 months myself. Brake fluid must be changed every 1 year same as your radiator coolant. If water sips in your brake system to the brake fluid, then something really bad will happen in the long run.

may i ask something ..... is it bad for our engine if we change engine oil brand ?

i heard tat we shud use back the same brand of engine oil all the time?

plz advise, tnx...

Hie, i have changed my oil from Castol to Shell Helix Plus and the feel is great. A smoother engine run and a queiter. Hope it won't do any damage. I think it shouldn't be a problem.:X-:

good to hear ur engine run better! :_: i also like Shell ... but the proton centre i send to service use Petronas Syntium engine oil i think ....

i think i'll change engine oil also !! but i think if change once of twice lidet ok la ... not everytime also change ...

anyone tried Q8 Oils before? or Motul ... is it really that good...?
