Changing the dark windows to clear...

Got stopped by JPJ on dark windows. Can anyone give me a contact where I can change/buy clear windows for my 8? Now, my wife is driving with fear...

Hi,

If your windows is tinted dark, u can just get the accessory shop to peel it off for you.

Yeah, just get the tinting shop to peel off the tint...you will get back ur ori windows look...

The rear windows and rear windscreen comes originally tinted from Japan. It's not film tinted, so I can't peel off the dark layer. I need to change the windows to clear ones. :(

Well.. Try ask the person u bought the car from, when u change name u need jpj inspection only bank approve loan, so they will change to clear glass then go inspection, after that change back b4 hand the car to u... This is what happen when i bought my car.

I asked and I am trying to source for a cheaper price outside. The salesman's attitude changed when I confirm the car + car loan approved. There has been arguement along the way while waiting for my car so the price he gave me, I doubt he's honest.

Bro, it's really dependable on luck. I am using my 75% tinted Airtrek for 4 years now, I was pretty safe. That is why I did not ask for clear windows when I bought my RX8. Mana tau on the 5th day after I got my 8, I bumped into JPJ road block. Really, it's all luck.

Now, my wife is very worry whenever she drives the 8. This morning, she was scare when she saw police car by the road side due to road accidents. I don't want her to be paranoid driving our new car.

The glass aren't cheap. 2 small pieces on the suicide door + rear windscreen is Rm1600.

The dark privacy glass are big NO to JPJ...
