hi,

i'm using alpine mrv-f345. looking for components now. budget is around 1.5k. looking for a good component for the budget. after listening to alpine comps, feel like there is something missing in the sound. have not listen to type x though.

welcome any good suggestion

If you're around Klang Valley area, you can drop by at some of the more famous audio accessories shop. They'll give you some good suggestions within your budget.

At RM1500, you'd be fine with Focal or Morel. Those are more towards SQ setup. And of coz if you're looking for a bit more mid bass, you can look at CDT which gives excellent kick.

IMO, if you are looking for Alpine components and looking for really nice sounding ones, it's only the Type-X that can be choosen IMO.

Well... what's your music preference? It'll be easier to recommend if you had stated your music preference as different component sets have different characteristics IMO.

Yea I'm with prodigy with his recommendation. But you's wanna be careful with morel & focal imitations. Some shops display the original stuffs but installs the imitation product ( which looks almost exactly identical to the real stuffs ). Just a thought ;)

would suggest u spell out what you have ..
Mix and match your equipment is an art.
Some component are rather power hungry , llike dyns ..
some might not match well with your alpine amp ...

And, you have to factor in your HU charecteristic ... by partnering your amp n comp ..
So, patient source and test around .. hehe

any "daiko" here know about ECLIPSE componet speaker....??gif sum comment...!!

maybe you can try the Alpine SPX F17t should fit your budget. Its an old model speaker but still has good quality if you can find them. With mids from vifa and tweets from scans and a 3 way component who can resist.

Eclipse is well known for its HU. Doent mean that manufacturer who produce good HU produce good speakers.
