CPS (Cam Profile Switching) vs VVTI vs DVVT

It means the same thing though but with different naming only...if you searched through the internet for Cam Profile Switching, you would notice that there are a lot of entries....

So far, no search found for Touge for CPS vs anything in the world..heard anything about supercharged CPS so far or not?

I think no one has done mod up to that extend. Mine is already considered 'heavy' already. Hahaha.

Hi there, sorry mods for interrupting this thread..hehehe....

by the way, i'm currently want to do a little modification on my CPS, i want to install cone air filter and change spark plug cable to 10mm.

here i need some advice or maybe a suggestion which brand is the best worth my money and also is ok to CPS engine if we twick a little bit like that.

(sorry for interrupting guys, i cant find any CPS engine modified in the web currently)

thanks.

Just use K&N drop in, no need to consider about CAI, heatshield.

CPS mean "CEPAT PANAS SYSTEM":listen::adore:

Agreed, the engine is hot. But my friend who just back from UK praise the engine saying it good for winter. Hahaha. (usually in winter they need to warm up for 5min the car before driving).

Looks like many will find it as an excuse to have fins and slats and slit on their car. :banghead:

First of all, you have a toyota head but doing something on Honda ...:proud:

Anyway, where did you get this meaning of CPS...? ..have you heard any CPS overheating so far?

Bump:
Those upgrades should not be a problem.

Yeah, the things that you mentioned are basic upgrades. Not much issue and what kinda mod are you looking at actually?... acceleration or top speed?... what about the exhaust system...

CSP engine is hot?
u mean engine hot or engine bay is hot?
Btw, CP with 11:0 and below should not a problem for daily use.

The engine runs slightlt hotter than 4G18 Waja, and also Campro. Maybe thats the reason CPS got additional oil cooler.

This easy, just upgrade with low temp thermostat & fan switch,
sure will improve a lot.:driver:

I look for acceleration, but FC maintain...my exhaust system will remain as it is, i don't want to be part of people that polute our air...

Install high flow airfilter, such as K&N can already feel the difference. Just now I install lighten crank pulley. 1st expression, the rpm needle is lighter.

Pls read properly......low temp thermostat & fan switch.
why can't help?? Pls advise.

The fan are use to increase heat dissipation from the radiator. The radiator take the heat out of the engine internal using water as the medium of transfer. Because the CPS runs hotter than normal Campro, an oil cooler are added to help bring the heat from inside to outside so it can be dissipated efficiently.
p/s: if it can be done that simple, then you should apply job at Proton to help them reduce cost. Hehehee.

p/s: just notice the smilies I use earlier is for 'stupid', I apologize for that. :banghead:

my friend, how to gain more power with maintaining the FC? If you wanted more power, means more FC la... I have never heard anything that could give you more power, yet save fuel, unless you drive very slowly all the times.

If you wanted acceleration, can change the extractor 4-1 ...

totally agree with ya...there is u1 power hv to bare with higher FC...

wen u got more power..u sure guarantee tekan pedal to the metal ritez....

but...if u owning a 10 year old plus car..u changed the wholed exhaust setup..and it actually safe more fuel....coz previously i tried in on my 1988 saga..changed extrator and full exhaus setup..is actually safe more fuel....:hmmmm:

:proud:Agree with you totally. Heads up man... actually, modifying the plug cable, filter, spark plug, exhaust is considered as a very basic start up...like what I did many years back on my GTI, I also changed the ECU chip, spark plug, plug cable, filter, exhaust system (extractor 4-2-1, middle and end), metal gasket,... a lot of stuffs la.. but still lost to a Mivec...darn it !!

Actually, you can increase pick-up and maybe save FC in the same time. The secret are, throw out all the seats except for driver, throw out the spare tyre, take out your aircond, power steering unit and and change to 15" rims.

Seem like u still can't get my point.
Btw, if CPS run hot , what is the main root cause? run lean setting? or CP ratio is high?
or the engine block design is not good to bring the cooling water to do the work well??
Seem like I need to check my car engine CP as Mitsubishi claimed that Mivec is run with 11:0 CP.
But.. I still can't feel my engine run hot with stock cooling system... Maybe Proton design this engine is a bit aggressive. :smokin:

wow wow wow...good ideas though. Will it be road legal then?:proud:

Boyzone, what is your mod? Mind to share a bit huh...

there're actually some cars that their engine runs a tad hotter than others. so much variables in there : different cams, engine restrictions (to cope with the euro thingy), compression ratio etc

and there IS such a thing called optimal operating temperature. since i reckon them engineers KNOW what they're doing, well..

but i found out (generally) that a for each 10 degrees celsius you manage to drop in intake temperature, you gain an additional 1% in horsepower.
on the cps neo that equals to.. what? 1.25bhp? :burnout:

Just a basic mod for intake / outlet, a set of hi-low coil over + 5.3kg light weight rim and overall weight reduction. simple as that.:listen:
