Dear turbos lover & expert

what do u think about stock standard exhaust for turbo engines......

i was trying to convince my fellow turbo friend, thats not right
technically speaking for a 2.5 litre turbo engine...i would recommend at least a straight thru muffler with 3'' pipe

but he doesnt want to be obvious in his stock standard ride,

pls advise

I assumed your friend use a car that have been swap with a turbo engine

for me if ur fren use back stock standard exhaust that came with the engine in question... then its fine... lotsa turbo cars use stock exhaust from factory can be seen running reliably..

as per performance... still can feel the turbo torque but as for top power is concerned, he might feel sluggish at top end of the rpm range....

if your friend is happy with the stock performance, then that is all that matter....

unless your friend used back his old N/A exhaust system with his turbo engine... then the chance of turbo problem are high...

but if he started to upgrade his turbo, then freer flowing exhaust is a must...

then the chance of turbo problem are high...

what is the damages? what technically involve

seriously the term "stock" exhaust alot people think must be the standard ordinary "stock"

however, do you think evo 10 stock exhaust will not be good enough if you turbocharge your lancer ? haha....

exhaust is not rocket science and yet sometime can be tricky.....one golden rule. check temperature across @ operating .... if there is some hot spot.. means is time for an upgrade..

How about a straightflow following the 'longkang' under the car and a more discreet muffler?
