Custom Y-Pipe For A32/A33

Just returned from a quick day trip to JB. Branch problem that needed my attention. I think I smoked a couple of beamers...one 3 series, debadged so couldn't tell what model, and a 730... :shocked:

The few mods I've done on the undercarriage has done wonders to the handling. Still not as good as a beamer, but as good as it will ever be.

But the surprise was the amount of torque the engine puts out now. Gives a kick somewhat like a turbo.

The 3 series was especially irritating. Came up close and started tailgating me. So I let him pass, came up behind him...then just kept pushing him. At 180 kmh, he couldn't get away...

Finally got bored...floored the throttle (must still be young!... ), passed him and lost him...hit 210 kmh and kept going. Was tired, so didn't want to push it.

It was a great feeling...thinking to myself at that speed..."I can pass you any time!"...

unless its a 330i, most 3 series would have hard time getting away from a 3.0 Cefiro @ top speed...

err...u forget EBC rotors n brakepads...

Ah yes...hmmm...then there is the SAFC Neo...or should I just splurge and get an E-Manage...then the R32 AFM and Injectors...maybe a bored out fuel rail...then perhaps poly bushings...maybe some 4-pot caliper brakes...which means new 17" rims...and...etc...etc.. :sad_smile:

its a never ending list..but i would love a nissan 4 pot for the front and 2 pot for the rear...i found the calipers but need to find new rotors...

Hmmm...probably better to order aftermarket ones. I think Sg got OEM ones as well as aftermarket. You need me to check? What model did your calipers come off?

Update on Y-Pipe. Found a guy near my house willing to do it. Lee's contact and he will see to it. Original price quoted for a single piece is $450. But I haven't yet negotiated.

If all works out, I will send my car in, and have it done. Takes a day. Then the guy will have a stock sample to fabricate more. I need to know NOW how many are interested so that I can negotiate a final price. BUT you must be sure. I don't want to end up with additional pipes...

yes pckk...my friend is using them. but if u r only intend to upgrade the rear, u might have prob with the balance of the braking system.
in theory, the front disc should be bigger n better than the rear.

the rear you can put in the nissan twin pot but your hand brake can't be use. cause the rear nissan twin pot use 2 braking system disc and shoe brake.
