omg..
just did superlon in my boot yesterday
now my whole car smells of the glue

have some leftovers and wanted to do my door panels..but since my car smelling liek glue now..don't feel like doing it already..hahah :P

could u share how u did your back boot? some pictures would be great.

I guess u DIY your SATRIA, me too. i did SUPERLON on my front bonnet using thick one and 2 side doors(thin) Superlon on the inside then bitumen strip as the 2nd layer replacing the plastic sheet.. B)

would say sound proofing only improved slightly.
there was some suggestion the change the door rubber lining to further cut down external noise from coming in.

for my car, i think most of the vibration and noise coming from my 'tornado" hotbit bullets located just below the bottom of the gear shift area.

JL, is it OK to use Superlon on the pipes in the engine bay (ie...air cond pipes)? I have got this particular pipe that needs insulation but is directly behind the radiator.

for the boot..when you open your boot and you look up..you'll see a grey plastic thingy right? (it's behind the number plate) i took that off (it's held onto the boot with clips..just have to pull it hard) and put superlon on that thing..then clip it back..

then i look off my spare tyre and superlon that area too..quite easy if u ask me..but the problem is that your interior will smell like glue -_-"

i wanna do the door..but i'm not sure to stick it on the door panel..or on the doors...oh well..when i have the time i'll take off my door panel and do it :P

seriously, wat tools u guys use to cut the superlon ah?? i could nvr get it straight with pen knife, worse with a big scissors. crooked all the way lah :lol: :lol: faster tell ur secrets la :)

but dun care la..just cut bigger a bit..den only measure again nicely..

i use a longish ruler and a knife

that's why you guys all have (mostly) straight cuts ;)

i've done it already..

but may i ask where did you stick your superlon?
is it on the plastic thingy with the clips which u clip onto your boot?
you have pics on where u stuck yours? :)

about 15ft ft to cover everything you'd need to cover + some extra JUST in case.

whole car, siap pasang RM550 (applicable for most cars until Waja size) fully soundproofed, done by professional.
even i only let him do my stuff..
