E-Manage on a Daihatsu GTti (cb70) Engine, Possible?

Hi guys,

I plan to install an e-manage on my ride which is a Daihatsu Charade GTti

with a cb70 engine. It is a 1.0C.C. 3 cylinder, turbocharged, Twin Cam, 12 valve

Engine. Can it be done? Anyone has done it before?

i think cannot be done.
iirc, e-manage blue cant support 3 cly setup.

Hi Max, If I recall correctly, there are people using it on L2's...

there is also a person who is using it on his GTti,

but how and where he did it, I don't know... That's why I'm asking...hehehe

On a side note, what about the Apexi AFC Neo? Can it be done?

ic. i thought cant be used, as i read somewhere it doesnt support 3cly.
maybe using 6cly configuration with minor mods?

Ok, CONFIRM emanage with ignition harness CAN be installed on a GTti! Dyno-tuned using

the L502 fuel map.

I just did it in Sunway last Friday:)

When I had a GTti in the late '80s, I used a piggy back from BBR (Brodie Britain Racing) from the UK. It allowed me to run over 15psi. :).

When I had a GTti in the late '80s, I used a piggy back from BBR (Brodie Britain Racing) from the UK. It allowed me to run over 15psi. :).

in stock form,ur engine couldn't boost over 1 bar mrgee? i got a friend
who uses this engine.on early stage of his mod,there's no problem for
him to boost over 1 bar w/o using any piggy.

Bro GT_Auto,

The stock engine can boost up to 1.6bar on stock internals with no prob.

Just that there is boost cut at 0.8bar.

I guess what mrgee is saying is that the piggyback removes the boost cut.

I think your friend must be using FCD or an electronic boost controller to

remove the cut.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Not sure what the piggy back did, it was a long time ago and not so tech savvy then,
remembered that I used a blled valve to fool the waste gate and ran 15psi. that was the limit on my boost gauge though a friend ran 20s in his GTti.
