hi Jason, i've sent u the price list...
as for the price, spiderlings i have posted there...and the adult's price i'd PMed u ;)

any recommendation of someone who knows nothin about tarantulas?my cousin is interested but doesn't know where to start and how to start(easy to take care)..u know..what to feed them etc etc..

thanks!

bro... i recommend u starting off with a docile species. eg. rose hair. Get a adult or sub-adult and start building ur experince from there. i dont recommend u getting a baby tarantula cause u need to really take care of them if not it will die. the smaller they are,the more fragile. its a hardy pet though. just feed them crickets or meal worms maybe 4 times a week. their fecees dont smell so no prob about cleaning that. the only maintainence is that u clean their tanks after every meal n make sure that u have a bowl of water in the tank ALWAYS. thats all. simple isn't it?? :) glad your cousin is interested wut bout u? :)

thanks for your reply..

i'm a little interested but kinda still considering because have not rare any pet before..my cousin is interested and he did mentioned to me a couple of times but do not know where to start..he's only 15 and since you guys deals with these fellers so maybe could get some info from you guys..

one thing i personally like to know..do they have poisons?how if they bite you?heheh..use small plastic aquarium tank?need to put anything inside besides the bowl of water?where to get their food?any website i could get some info on?for beginner..

thanks again!

sorry..one more question..

my cousin's house garden always have lots of ants..i wonder whether is it suitable to that kinda environment?problems with ants of other insects in the house??of coz he won't keep it at the garden but worried that those ants could come into the house..

you can try to find a place which is safe from ants...
or maybe put four containers which is full of water below the legs of the rack..so, the ants wont get near... :)

hey all the species u mentioned... which 1 can bite & poisonous? I prefer ones that I can play around with my hands & dont jump here & there until I cant find. And can u please post some pictures please? I think a lot of people will be interested if u have pictures really.

bro... i recommend u getting rose hair for beginners. they a docile and calm. EVERY TARANTULAS HAVE VENOM. it depends how potent their vemon are. usually they would rather run and hide rather than bite but some species you wouldn't want to handle. they bite readily. if they really bite you the most possible sign it could be is like kena bee sting. it wound will bleed little bit then itchy abit and thats it for most species. but for more potent vemon (more aggressive species) you will tend to vomit and have fever and those stuff. U WONT DIE FROM A TARANTULA'S BITE. but keep small children away from them and dogs and cats :)
for housing question, you can use 'tau fu fa' container. its cheaper. can get from giant in bulks!!! when they out grow the container, rehouse them into a bigger tank eg. plastic fist tank. you dont need to decorate your tank much. they dont care anyways. its up to personal prefference. i keep mine simple with just a water bowl. food you can get in fish shops. crickets cost just RM1 for 33pcs. standard wan. unless you know the tauke u can get more la.hahaha :) i wont try to promote any website here. go yahoo search bar and type tarantulas. you should get alot of results from there. :) happy searching!! :) :D

ants is one big problem. i often see dead carccases (crickets) in tarantulas container. and they will lead to mites and ants. you will need to clean their tanks everytime you give them food. eg give them cricket tonite, tomoro morning check for eaten/uneaten food and pick them up. u wont like the smell of dead carcass crickets! it smell awful. wut somemore for the tarantula?? if you do your responsibilities, you can be sure of a healthy, happy tarantula free of mites and ants. DO NOT SPRAY insectiside (sheltox) in the vicinity of your tarantuls. will die. :) glad i could be of help.

all tarantulas bite bro... depends they want to bite or not :) species like rose hair are docile and calm. can be picked up and play but i dont recommend that unless u have experience. if you play with it and if the tarantula drops. u MAY have one dead tarantula. if it have a rupture abdomen, may die bleeding. so i wont advise you to handle it. u can play on your bed though. hahahah. ive lost a 6" tarantula once. an aggressive one. 10 days later i found it searching for food in my sister's room hiding behind her bed side table. hahaha suspense show man. :D

enclose picture of the famous Mexican Redknee Tarantula. used in Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. a docile species by the way. maximum size is 5"-5.5"
