based on the picture...
can some one explain...

it looks a little bit weird...
what's are the numbers desciptions ?
i've been told that the box looking thing on top of the pic is the canister...hmmm...why is it lokks different ?

fuel canister maybe go to fuel filter (#2)...
but why there's #5 n #7...???

I think its like this,no 7 is the fuel supply line that connects to the fuel filter(no number,extreme left).No 5 is the return fuel line,no 6 is to canister,no 9 is fuel pump power supply and ground,no 8 and 4 is the fuel line holder,no 1,2 and 3 looks like a hose connected to the canister,for ventilation perhaps,the pic also not so clear.

btw what car is that,the fuel hose is self locking type one,like waja,gen2
 
but why the fuel filter n canister are seperated...
i thought they were suppose to work to gether...

Cannot see much of the canister on that pic either.

The canister and the fuel filter are separated,they do not work together.The fuel filter job is to filter the fuel that is going to the engine,the canister (or charcoal canister) is somekind of a storage tank to store the fuel vapor from the fuel tank,to regulate the tank pressure.The fuel vapor is the purged into the engine by the ecu,normally during idle/cruising.
