Gear Cant Get Into Position

Today, around 2pm I drive slow as usual and suddenly my car not moving and when I try push a little to pedal, it's like in free gear.

I stop and try to change gear to every gear including reverse, nothing happened. My car dont moved at all, just engine running as usual.

Then I park, 15 minutes after that I found plenty of oil come out from gearbox and I dont even know from which part of the gearbox.

What is my car problem now? Do I need to change to new gearbox? Cost?

maybe the driveshaft positioning lari in the middle there....
got one case one time, my fren become like dat...
he just go ketuk back to it's place and no more dat problem....

I think, the drive shaft wont disconnect from it place unless we hit something big like rock so hard so the position will go out from it nest.

Plus, if it moved from the position, it still wont make the gearbox loose oil in it coz I have change the drive shaft myself, the oil wont leak anywhere.

Or it me dont understand what you trying to say??

r u mean u press clucth pedal no pressure feel like normal..its feel very light..than gear cannot engage..myb clutch plate kong or koyak...or mayb drive shaft not setting at their position like adeen said...

are the clutch oil line are leaking? I worry, it crack... No oil = clutch pump can't work = no preasure when press the clutch = every gear also can't in....

encounter tis on my previous putra,clutch pump leaking & cannot engage any gear...

did u try to press clutch but feeling like very light compare to before?

The clutch feel little lighter, I think. I will make sure of it tomorrow. I dont have so much time to check on it coz quite busy these day, so I sent it to workshop and they check it up tomorrow and give me updates.

Hope just minor problem.

I had similar problem too... can't get into 1st, 2nd or 5th. Can only get into 3rd and 4th. The gear lever/shifter felt very loose too...

Later I discovered the problem myself and found that it was actually the locking pin from the gear lever/shifter that had fallen out, which cause one of the gear cable came loose from the shifter. So what I did was hook it back up and lock it with the pin.

But then, seeing that gear oil leaking out from you gearbox looks like a bigger problem there. The best way is to inspect the gearbox or replace it with another gearbox... coz workmanship for repairing gearbox is pretty costly.

I just took out the car. They said the "clip" between drive shaft and inner part of gear box suspended. They re-attached to the original place and add 3 litre gear oil.

I dont know either what they said true or not coz it seems just took 2-3 hours to open the gearbox? Are they robot or very skillful mechanic? Total lied!!

What ever it is, it ok for now although the gear feel little hard. Hmmm...

RM40. They charge for the repair for RM20 & 3 litre gear oil for RM20. Plus I told that I will use my own gear oil, but they used their oil instead. what a troublesome company, annoying.

not better at all. cant rev to 7.5 in 2nd to 4th gear plus it feel quite rigid. I dont know how to explain, but after the broke, it seems pretty sux.
I love my car no more.
