how 2 take out sr4 meter?? need help.

to all who know pls help me. i dunno how a bug got into the meter and now it 'bugs' me everytime looking. i only notice 2 secrews on the upper part of the black housing but asides fr that nothing else. shuld i just pull every thing or wat? afraid breaking something...help me lorrr.:hmmmm:

Those two screws are just the tip of the iceberg.
You need to remove the entire black cover, which involves removing the hazard light switch as well. because I remember there's a screw or clip in there.

Better if you've seen the removed version so you know how and where to unclip, because the clips break easily.

First the two screws u've mentioned..
Then carefully pry out the hazard light switch, and unplug the socket..
You will see a screw behind where the switch was.
pop out the clock and unplug the socket as well..
then with a few careful tugs here and there..u'll be able to remove the whole panel..
once the outer panel is removed,
unscrew the meter panel (2 screws on each side) and remove a couple of sockets from the back of the meter panel..
NOW, its up to u how to remove the clear plastic cover, cuz i THINK its not meant to be removed..and it'll crack easily!
good luck..
and when u put everything back together, the outer panel goes in easier if u push in the right side (near driver door) first.... =)
