how to know if stater getting kong??

i have some question....
how to know if starter getting kong??
what starter is the best for perdana???tq:shades_smile:

First... wrong forum.
Second... difficult to start - must crank more than once.
Third... some burnt smell coming from starter.

Best replacement is the stock OEM one. Find those 'Made in Japan' ones if possible. Or alternatively, u could trade in with recon shop for a brand new recon set.

starter motor wont give any kind of signs if faulty.

u simply cant crank the engine. good thing if the car is manual - just push start it.

if auto, cala AAM laaa..

The last time my VR4 starter konk, car is very difficult to start... it goes like what BH described. That was 2 years ago.

Then... right b4 my NA engine blew... starter short-circuited (the wiring melted). Luckily didn't start a fire on my car! :cyclops:

Sometime Can Start Easyly But Sometime Must Start More Than 3 Times..
Krk...krk Sound Never Hear...
Its It Becoz Starter Or Something Like Swicth Or Others???

it could be ur batt.

it cud be starter motor's carbon brush.

but to change one is not expensive, unlike alternator. a lot cheaper.

hahaha.. tat is one funny way to indentifying faulty starter.

but my experience was it jsut couldn't crank..
