ok guys! howabout ron 97? the one dat produce more power & efficiency? Is it :-

a) Shell Vpower?
b) Esso F1?
c) Caltex?
d) BHP?
e) Petronas Primax 97

previously i was using Caltex's 97 but recently i've switched to Shell Vpower 97, i feel Shell slightly better..

hey bro & sis,

i was wondering can shell ron 97 made more power in a old & stock car?? OR it's juz the same as using ron 95 no different at all. Thanks.

how old is old?..my mum's car is 13yrs old, i feel diff when using ron97 compare to ron95..

my mum's car accelerates smoother and engine is quieter using ron97..

i remember getting better mileage while filling up primax 97 compared to primax 95 extra
of course this was last time when the difference between the two prices was not so huge
but nowdays i just pump ron 95 because the price difference is too big for me :banghead:

i still remember last year July i had my fuel filter change & pump full tank shell ron97... at 1st really feel wow got power:biggrin: but then slowly slowly didn't feel anything anymore. Until now still use ron97 not dare change to ron95

i been wondering some time, most of the petrol station got offer RON97 for us petrol head to use or some high power engine...

when we refill our tank with RON97 do we really get RON 97 or lower? understand the fuel been store some time. Do our fuel degrade if store too long....

so far amongst all the petrol stations. i did a test on each petrol with 4 full tanks for each brand.

my favourite with best mileage and performance was with Esso.

Shell - performance ok but bad mileage

Caltex - ok performance, ok mileage but lower than esso

petronas? the worst, lowest mileage and worst performance. i boycott petronas.

Based on my daily experience,

Shell: Only clock 300km +/-10km
Esso: Clock around 360km +/-10km,
Both for full tank on 4G63T. For me it's a big different.

Modification: Stock ride
Mode of driving: Same route & never blast...

Other brand for RON97 don't have in my place.

esso ron97 better performance for my engine..
but mileage abit poor..maybe due to better performance my right foot get heavy alr..
shell ron97 performance ok & good mileage..
so for now stick with shell ron97..esso ron97 availability not so good at my place..
using mivec engine with increase compression..
