ermmm.....accent!! dad's drivin it....overall...it's worth the price..really,,in terms of the body material,the handling,performance oso not bad...only mayb pickup slow bit...auto 1....but it's worth it,,,much batter then local cars la,,,of the same price....

in terms of performance ,well,it very muchdepends on the driver....see lo,, who's behind the wheels, if boyracer drivin the accent,so called apeks car,see can fly or not????if really apek drivin some sports car.....see lo, whether he dare to press on it!!1haha...

of course la, if wanna buy car,,see yur budget....then put in priority wat u wan mostfrom the car in tat range,whether it's performance u r lookin 4 or comfort!!then consider all cars whithin tat range lo....test drive,,satisfy??? buy@!

Someone was telling me if you wanna buy a Hyundai, might as well go for Proton.

I think the Accent chasis is quite well build since it's based on a rally car.

So guys, I'm also looking for a car, by mid year. Budget under RM100k, I want a non local make at least 1.5L to 1.6L and MANUAL H PATTERN GEARBOX. BRAND NEW CAR.
any suggestions?

We shouldn't compare 1.5 with 1.8 DOHC. GTI outrun most of the 1.8 player because of it's light weight. :lol:

I'm driving Hyundai Coupe. And all my post about Hyundai Accent here not because I own a Hyundai car, but I do test drive the car and couple of my friend that driving Accent give me that feedback.

I don't blame those who are having that kind of perception about Hyundai car, because Hyundai car in the past is really not up to standard. I did ride on Hyundai Sonata 1996 model back then, it's a crap. Expecially automatic gear shifting is really lauzy, i heard my friend's dad (owner of BMW 3series) is complaining about that car when I step in into the car until we reach our destination. That's my first perception about Hyundai Car.
I have that same perception until 2003 i test drive Coupe and Accent, I think for those who have that image about Hyundai Car, maybe you shall come to Hyundai Showroom to test drive the car. Let's your drive tell you how is the feeling of new modern Hyundai car.

1 of the reason people says that Hyundai parts is expensive simply because -- rare chop shop keep those Hyundai parts. If you want to get Hyundai Part, genuine parts please. I think it's fare enough to pay for the price for genuine parts, at least it comes with full waranty.

new cars below 100K.... Not sure you are looking for 2 doors or 4 doors car? daily road car or weekend performance car?

if normal road car, 2 doors, manual, Peogeout 206 is the car i have in my mind right now. Many options available, but City and VIOS doesn't come with manual gearbox.
Optra I didn't test drive, maybe Pupu can give some comment about his 1.8 optra here?
