if i remember clearly.. u can try this..
under tools, select option..then double click on advance..select firewall config..the change the listenig port to 54000 and aply the settings...

IMO ares is better than limewire. last time got use limewire b4 la n it was so blardy fast.it was free version btw.then few months later dunno y suddenly vr slow dy.is it bcoz stimix pegi block the LW port i dunno. sometimes its slower than 56k when d/l a mp3.then sumone intro me ares n now switch 2 ares dy n dump away my ex fave p2p. :thumpdown hope sumone can prove me wrong now that LW is not slow like snail.

well, i'm currently using BearShare 5.1.0 freeware.. so far, i found this software quite good. btw, i'm trying LW soon.. lets c d diff.

limewire is good. but since last year the connection was so dem slow... can reach only 2kbps..then in the middle the rate will go around 50kpbs then slow back when reach around 80% something like that. mine is running on streamyx 1.0 mbps.tried several location in Klang Valley still the same.

funny thing is if i d/l any files using IE or Mozilla the rate will constantly be around 55kpbs, sometimes 90kpbs.

but using hotspot tmnet no problem. my limewire pro can shoot around 80 to 95 kbps.using the same laptop.

any idea guys?
