LSD gearbox with normal g/box oil?

Hi all!

just wanted to ask, what would happen to your LSD g/box if normal g/box oil was to be put in??
LSD g/box must use that special g/box oil rite...

If you got an LSD you should use LSD gear lub and it is quite common to find it in the market...

Always keep to the spec so you will have less worry and less payment to be made :P

yeah better use back recomemded lsd gear oil....if got $$$ can use fully sintetik gear oil from MOTUL dunno type wat but rm180 2litre

lsd gearbox use normal gearoil will shorten da lifespan of da LSD so u get cranking sound while making slow steady corner, imbalance tork distribute to both whells by lsd while making fast cornering n things like dat

if u can afford a lsd g/b sure can afford a lsd gb oil. furthermore it only cost like rm50.00 for a castrol lsd gb oil.

I'm using LSD, and using normal gbox oil. Got that creaking sound when turning. Does this mean that if i change to LSD the noise will go away. Anyway, i check at the local shop, they are selling Castrol LSX, is it the LSD oil.

lsx not for lsd... there is a such a case... the oil become like crytalize... don't dare...

in some cases you will get burnt smell. i have done that before coz i had my car on stands and tools so just changed it out with some stopoil. I only use redline fluids so i left it in for bout 3 months. no probs.

Depends really on your application. You can be really anal about it and change out every year like i do or be like others and never change it.

hmm...my first LSD oil is da castrol LSX....it da cheapest oil around but i suggest u go for better oil such as Motul LSD type ff not veli sure abt dat but cost rm180 like dat....motul has da best lsd gearoil.

wt motul lsd oil im sure yo lsd have a better grip wt activated

the same symptoms happen to my car..!!
herm .. power steering of my car lately got "wuuuutt uuutt" sound when i steer it..!! previously as i remebered my mech just change the normal g/b oil, i thought there's no diffrence??

so now ...does this matter is causes by the lsd g/b oil or just the power steering..??
does the "wuuuut uuut" sound goes off when i change back to LSD g/b oil..??
pls help sifu..!!
