Very easy to see if it's fake, just look at the box, there will be a hologram sticker by the side. If not, open the box. Take the speaker out and look at the magnet below, there will be a hologram strip across it.

I know cause the ones I'm using it are being brought from US directly.

pillage2001: Could you bring ur sample to unit on Tues or Weds. I am sure we would like to look at them. Why would buying from US mean it's real anyway? Aren't MBQuart from Germany?

It's not because it was from US that's real. Bought it from a retailer and on ebay. Anyway, you're free to come take a peek at it to confirm it. You can come to pg to look for me if you have a chance to come here for business or leisure. :)

Thanks. Replied your PM dude. Apparently the DSD216 in ebay, US is in a white box. Only the higher models are in black. A quick search in google or ebay website can confirm this.
