DIS - distributorless ignition system... example evos....

almost universal.
its designed for Distributerless Ignition Systems Ie cars that do not have a distributer. uses coil packs instead. the dis 2 can be used for 4 cyl wastespark systems and the Dis-4 can be used up to 8 cyl wastespark or 4 cyl sequential ignition.
most mitsu and 4cyl nissans can use this system. sorry to honda owners, you'll need a different system.

I'm not very familiar with Toyota ignition systems. Basically if the system uses some sort of cam or crank angle sensor to trigger the ECU and uses coilpacks to fire the sparkplugs then the MSD is benificial to your car.

my 1jz runs on sequential. if i were to use your dis 4 does that means i have to rewire my wiring to make it run on wastespark?
