juz one question...
does it has the same agility as the real intercoolers made by the manufacturers,e.g mitsu & nissan?
coz long time ago i've used a custom intercooler looks juz like yours for $1100, but after i met in a 'not so serious accident', it ripped of my i/cooler...
totally pist off....
so, does yours haf the agility like the i/c made by the manufacturers?
if yes, i'll buy it in 2weeks..

This is a very subjective question. I don't know how severe was your accident. In comparison with a mass produced i/c, I can confidently tell u that our i/c's are more robustly constructed with welded in end tanks vs. pressed joints of a mitsu/nissan's tube & fin i/c. I'd guess that ur custom intercooler was damaged at the core and hence it ripped apart by the impact as the layers are joined together by mean of brazing/adhesive. No doubt that a tube and fin i/c will not 'ripped apart' since the tubes are extruded with more ductile/softer metal but it won't be repairable and the efficiency of it will drastically reduced.. Would u still want to use it?? At least with a bar and plate type u can still salvage ur end tanks and repair the core.

Anyway, no heat exchanger cores are meant to withstand any direct impact, come view our i/c and make ur own judgement. Ur concern should be on the increased efficiency and minimal pressure drop our i/c can offer you! :D

dude, currently my car is running a VR4-RS I/C but wanna change to either the 550x300 or the delta fin 600x300. btw what is the differance between the 550x300 and the delta fin?

how much is the installation cost?

HI,

Thanks for your interest in the intercoolers. Currently, i only have the 600 x 300 x 76 Bar & Plate, 600 x 300 x 76 Delta Fin and 560 x 200 x 90 Bar & Plate left. The last unit of 550 x 300 x 76 was just sold off during the weekend and another one was sold to our forum member Kith with a Satria. I've posted his pics here as well.....
The difference would be the design of the cores. The Delta Fins uses the tubes and fins construction and also it looks abit like the Greddy ones as well.
If you prefer a Bar and Plate one, i would suggest that you go with the 600 x 300 x 76 Bar and PLate. This one will be slightly bigger than the 550 x 300 ones by 5cm in terms of the length of the core size.
Even the 560 x 200 x 90 Bar and PLate should have a larger core volume as compared to an Evo1,2 and 3 or the VR4 RS.
As for the price of installation, i will not be able to give u a quote. It really depends on how much work must be done to your pipings. However, it will be the same price if you were to install any other front mounts on your car. If you're already using stainless steel pipings, the fabricator may only need to modify the front portion of your pipings to suit the new intercooler therefore the price will be much lower than fabricating the entire set again. I would reccommend JFA in Sunway to do the fabrication of the pipings as i have seen them doin excellent job on my customer's car and the customer was very satisfied. However, it's still up to you to source for other piping fabricators to install it for you :)

Well, give me a call to view the intercoolers. Preferably around PJ area. I'm sure you will not be dissapointed. Thanks again for your interest.
