Old School Cars Discussion

If get parts from Sime Darby Hyundai Malaysia?

So, at this rate, are you going to keep the Hyundai any longer or plan to sell if off?

Chery SC don't have the parts in stock?

They keep stock from Sonata 5 onward. Even chop shop hard to get Sonata III parts dy.

Car no value, so just keep loh! Slightly more expensive to maintain only.

Chery SC expensive mah! Now after warranty try to repair outside loh.....

I thought if you can't get parts some day, you will sell the car away. But I guess no spare part is impossible to source if you have the money.

Even our engine require engine oil for cooling, most people think engine oil is for lubrication only.....lol

But those air cooled need engine oil for primary cooling. While our engine's primary cooling relies on water cooling isn't it?

Stated it uses big oil sump, oil cooler. Fetch a hefty price tag too. :smokin:

By then can scrap already, because if no parts who will buy.....lol

Because water cooled does not means oil not cooling. For NA water cool is enough, but for turbo cars we have engine oil cooler means the oil will be very hot and needs to be cooled like radiator....:driver:

mean 4g93t oil still hot but no need to use oil cooler ? i run stock.
have in my mind, :hmmmm:

Need import parts from Korea maybe? I still see people driving old cars aged 40 years old like KE20, B110.

Yeah, I know that oil does play a role in cooling, but I thought the primary cooling is handled by water? Or actually it is the oil that did most of the cooling?

Just get oil cooler from Evo 3.

i guess it really depends on the design of the system...
iirc some cars use eo to cool/lubricate the gb... sde jugak some that share coolant for something (i also lupalah)

Gearbox already got their own gearbox oil? But that is not for cooling?

My 4G63T has a oil cooler as standard......:smokin:

Hidden below on the passenger side of the car isn't it?

ahh no i mean, some cars share fluids with other bits... i cnnot remember which car..... was it even coolant?? nah that dont make sense.... it shared fluid with something else... argh... i also maybe ingat salah ke ape...

You confused me already.

I think you mean atf cool by radiator......

Sandwich between air con condenser and radiator

Different from Evo 3 then.

hehe what i meant was, some cars share fluids/cooling strategies for more than one component...

I think you mean atf cool by radiator......

hmm was it that... haiyah maybe brain messed up dah....

fto's atf cooler is also built like that as well. Extra cooling lines for autos.

Different loh! Evo3 is great grandson.......improve design.....:driver:

Maybe this Evo 3 location is more efficient for cooling.

I see. If for coolant, I know certain cars have their coolant bypassing the throttle body. Apparently is to prevent the throttle from getting stuck in cold/freezing climate. If so, it is useless for our place and it gives me problem when one of the hose to the throttle body leaked out all the water from my radiator once.

ATF cooler runs on a separate line compared to oil cooler isn't it?
