The advert in CBT (news strate times sunday) was very misleading! Kind of implied that the R3 is already in the showroom and that bookings can be made online as of sunday!!!


sigh....and i went to double check with the sales people in mutiara damansara and they said no such thing (on line booking)...

The marketing effort of the R3 i feel is seriously disjointed!!!

1) Handsomelala.. Terrible mistake that. It was not an advertisement, it's a press write-up by CBT who got it horribly wrong. The problem here is that there has never before been an online booking of cars in Malaysia before, and most people cannot understand it and don't know what to say about it, even the press. Please do accept my apologies. Really, if there is anything on R3 that you need to know in the future, the best person to refer to is Me, and I will try to reply to everything that I can.

Thanks for the clarification!!


Btw, another important question, was told by the Sales people in Mutiara Damansara that booking online has its own complication as the buyer wont know who their Sales representative are. Hence the buyer wont know who to contact with regards to their loan application, insurance and so forth!!

RM2000 booking fee? (so high, i thought normally its rm500)
I presume that the minimum down payment would be 10% of the car (Rm7000) and the loan structure would be the same as purchasing a GTi ?

Lala.. I cannot answer about the loan structure, as this will be organised by Edar, but it should be the std current method fo 10%. Crap the salesman, we have nominated special sales people, only the best, who will handle R3 cars, and the other salespeople can't. That is why, if you speak to the wrong salesperson in Mutiara who is not the nominated R3 salesperson, he won't be able to answer you much.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, i do hope the backend can handle the load. I really think that there is a lot of pent up interest for the R3.

One example of backend not being to handle the load is the Toyota site when they launched the Avanza. Slow like hell!

Damn, can't wait! Gonna trade in my slow-poke Wira 1.8! :D
