MMC and Siemens come out different sound from stage 1
exhaust?
how is the different and which 1 is better sound?
u say hotbits full exhaust system.. i think the hotbits is set mainly 4 GTI. The R3 stage 1 is mainly for R3 follow the r3 setup.. so i think if a GTI change 2 R3 exhaust system .. may need to retune back the car.

One of my fren get a race craft Open Pod wit heat shield for RM 160 include installation. But i scare won't fit the R3 version CAI cuz u guys say its quite big =.="

saw a Sgti with the said enclosed open pod...can fit in,i think the one cant fit in is the other version,the CAI rounded box like mine

coz i change a performance chip and exhaust
i scare it wont match and the power will lost..
so need to know where to retune back my car..
service centre will do?

btw i did manage to see you Crash today :P. I thought you guys were going off from R&R at 12:30 and I got there at 12:30 and figured you guys went off already :P. Was going away from the track waiting at the traffic light saw you go by, turned back and it started to rain even harder :P lol.

Also which one of you was heading towards nilai? :P I was in the orange gen2 :P

I don't think service center will retune the chip. In fact, I don't think it's a good idea to let PE SC's touch your ECU as that might also mess up your aftermarket chip settings.

Where were you fellas? We were there at Dengkil early, so grabbed the famous nasi lemak for lunch and then returned to the station to meet other cars.

It rained heavily but stopped. We had lots of wet fun! No traction... hahhaha..

Find a reputable tuner and stick to it. Not such a good idea to keep switching randomly and definitely not a good idea to send to PESC, especially for mods.

I'm sorry, but I don't think that is CAI coz it still suck hot air under the bonnet.

since all discussing on C.A.I..i think the same can be fix on SGti or SR3 but have to custom make piping and relocate the batt, summore SR3 bumper already got hole, the one for the fog lamp.

just a note, the alumunium cai hose is not reliable,easily torn out due to the intake's breathing.expanding.. changed to pvc type.

anyway R3's CAI kit.. how much they selling ...

That GTi owner D.I.Y his own CAI. Sucking cold air from outside and heat shield to reduce heat generate from engine.

The only prob i worry is it can't fit wit the R3 version CAI cuz i heard u guys say the size of the CAI quite big.

I THOUGHT about waiting it out and going out in the wets, but I doubt my tyres would agree with me hahaha. Trying to wear down these sime astars to justify replacement you see hehe. Crap in the dry, like ice in the wet :P

hey rickmoh dude...u plan to get the CAI?...if u plan to do so lets go together...ive been thinking of it big time....hands itchy di huahuahua as for the filter im thinking of the racecraft carbon fiber one....lemme know if u wanna do it

but they say racecraft one too big for our car unless relocate the battery.
so don't plan to do tt, later will void warranty.
maybe wait for r3 CAI, anyone got any idea abt this?

Yes is the correct pic, the heat shield is the carbon fibre part.
