Hi yes its recorded as it is....

Do you mean the beeping on the remote when the alarm is triggered? No it cannot if its turned off then it will not be useful as a two way I'm afraid.

Haha...I wasn't quite sure what you meant, I guess I should have also predicted it could be this question....

Yes you mean the siren, can it be on and off when the shock sensor goes off...Yeap there's a silent mode....when the shock sensor is triggered, only the lights will blink...no siren but the signal will be sent to you remote given that it is in range and that would beep. However if your car is illegally entered (ie.doors are opened), then no more silent mode coz it means danger and the siren will go off blarring.....

Hi there,

This is the passive arming. It will chirp three times if you do not arm the car in 30secs. Once it chirps the alarm will automatically arm the car and at the same time send a signal to your remote informing you that you did not lock the door. So actually its pretty good to have it. If you want this off then you will need to turn of the passive arming function by using the remote.

When I leave my car at the service center, should I pass them the radiostar remote as well?
Or, should I, put it to Valet Mode and just pass them my ignition key?
I do not like the idea of passing others the remote, how should I do it.

either ways are ok. I believe your fear of passing the remote to them is someone else 'possibly' memorize the code. No worries, when you get it back you can programme a new code to the remote. Instructions can be found on the user manual.

I need some help with the Radiostar King-Eagle model. I took the unit to a shop (I'm in U.S.) that installs car starters and alarms and they said that they can install it but there is no programming information anywhere and they can't program it. The wiring diagram came with the unit but there is no info on programing. Any information about programing this unit or where I could get it? Please help!!! I'm trying to install it in 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor LS (SUV).

Hello there in the states!

We don't have the manual in softcopy. The alarm system doesn't require programming to work. You only requires programming if you want to change the default settings.

Is there any particular function that you'd like to program? We can explain to you here on how to program it.

The shop I took it too wanted me to find out how to program the unit in general, especially the "Tach" with the remote car starting function? I didn't know what to tell them. I thought if they just connect all of the wiring the unit would be good to go, but I didn't realize they had to program it.

Hi,

I believe your mechanic is not sure how to install the remote start module. Sounds like he's not sure where the "Stop Cranking" wire should be tapped to.

That wire can connected to either of these 2 options.

1 - RPM gauge. (meaning the alarm will stop cranking once the engine RPM shows >1000)
2 - Check Oil Pressure light (meaning the alarm will stop cranking once the check engine oil light disapears)


As far as we know from the hunders of units that we've installed for radiostar, it does not require programming. So, the wiring diagram is sufficient. I the shop still can't install the alarm I'd advise you to try out another shop.

I own a Kia Picanto and currently I'm seeking for an alarm system and also a reverse sensor.

I'm a Picantoclub member and was recommended by some of the members that the radiostar alarm are the best there is and those that have install are very satisfied with the features.

But one thing I'm worried is that the Kia vehicle have a warranty for the vehicle and anything acces install / modify will void the warranty. Please advise.

Is your price for the radiostar still valid as follows:-
King Leopard - RM590 only
King Dragon - RM620 only

Does it include installation and what about the warranty period for the alarm?

Our understanding from fellow radiostar Pica owners is that it won't void the warranty. It will be best to speak to Kia about this.

Yes, the price you quoted still remains.

Installation cost RM150 and inclusive of actuator for trunk release. For Pica, you don't really need trunk release because you have a 'door' opener at trunk. So, it will be RM130.

No other hidden cost.

We provide 6 months parts replacement and service warranty at no extra cost.

I've already spoken to the SC and the authorised acces shop and they also claimed that any other brand installed by other will void the warranty.

so do u also sell the reverse sensor too? (with 2 eyes) How much iszit?
