Those are hydraulic system, as opposed to the conventional cable parking brakes. You better make sure you have 4-pot brakes at the rear to make it lock easily.

yup...tats da hydraulic system...ders anoder type of hydraulic wer dey pinjam from da same thing as our main braking system...saw tat in da net sumwer b4...

been thinkin of using dis kinda system on my car using da bikes front brek system tat uses hydraulic as well....wonder if it'll work or not...

sorry ah newbie here, but i'm just curious... is it THAT inconvenient to reach for the handbrake lever sometimes?

i don't think its inconvenient to reach for the handbrake
but the ergonomics is much easier if the lever is upright ..
feels more natural pulling the lever towards you rather
than lifting it on your side ... .

And you'd like the lever to be nearer to your steering for some fast action. :)

actually guys

hydraulic handbrake kits are sold here in M'sia.
using ALCON brake piston pump :)

uses back the regular handbrake, but now using pressure lock during parking (yes the button will be used during parking as well!)

for details PM me

RM600 at least!
and that's just the kit for Protons, need to check for compatiblity.

i know, even for me

BUT
the brakes will lock WAY harder than a cable operated h/brake AND will bite AS hard as just like when you press the pedal!

guaranteed LOCK
