Hei there,

Anyone using 6x9 rear speakers ?? is it recommended ??
Any positive feedbacks ?

Hope you guys give some opinion

Thank you

bro...its up to u whether to put it at the back or not..but to my opinion if u have speakers n a sub woofer at the rear...most of the sound will come from back..not much to listen to lo...

.. if install sub in the rear, 6x9 coaxials are not needed.. if use coaxials, gotta make sure sound from rear won't affect soundstage, which is the front :)

DJgErM : i just started to play ICE. Therefore my car's audio are stock. Is it recommended for me to change the rear to 6x9. Will i hear any differences ??

Pjam : How do i make sure the sound from the rear won't affect the front??

Anyone using alpine 6x9 speakers ?? review pls..

.. the simplest way to avoid more sound coming from rear is thru the fader function of HU (ie. front, rear).. thats if the rear's sound is more audible than front..
most often, aftermarket well-known speakers perform better than stock speakers, hence the music seems to come from the rear, if u r sticking to the stocks for fronts...

anyhow, it also depends on your preferred setup.. some like their music from the back, i think :D

What if i change my front to aftermarket component system.
Will it balance up with the rear 6x9 speakers??

.. after market component system may improve the soundstage as the tweeters and midbass are separated.. tweeters will give good staging, while the midbass needs to have 'kick'..
have to consider other specs eg: freq response of midbass..
as i said u can adjust the fader function in case sound from rear covers the front..
another question, do u intend to get sub later? if yes, might as well save up for one.. leave the rear speakers as it is, upgrade the front to components system

Pjam : If i don't plan to put on a woofer anytime soon, u think its worth to use 6x9?? as now my rear speakers are goners...
And for the front putting in a component system. Wat do u say ?? Will the sounds be good enough ?

.. sounds alrite.. hei, its your $$, the decision is solely yours :D .. tune it properly & it can work well, just maximise the stuffs that u have & u'll b very satisfied :) shop around, find a good installer..

hmm....any suggestion on which workshop should i go for ??
Around KL area....that is...

my advice would be plan ahead not the near future. as you said no plan for a sub now (so there's a possibility for one). Why not save up more and get the sub 1st.

I'm still running on good old 5 yr old speakers & tweeters with more than 5 yr old amps coz I'm saving up to buy a new HU (plus the fact I have to feed this small young gangster which I bully every nite :p).

try sitting in cars with different setups and decide. it's your money basically it's your choice ;)

currently i'm using standard player. if i change branded speaker for rear and add speaker for front,
how about the sound, is it blance between front and rear.

any ideas?

luxi,
for normal nice listening, or SQ stuffs.. it is desirable to have better staging.. so, sound will be from the front.. there will be sound from the rear but rear is for ambience. it means audio production from rear is not directional & u can't feel the music is coming from behind..
