SV4 for sale, PLS HELP !

Hi Hondarians,

Basically, I found a 1 owner SV4 (2.2L Auto, non-vtec) for sale. Mileage is on the average 200k with the below pros / cons. I need some queries to estimate on repairs (sorry noob here), really looking forward to owning my first Honda, please comment :

Pros:
1. Gear box seems good, from N to R car doesn't jerk, does this means its ok, any other way to check ?
2. No major overhaul done, of course no accidents.
3. Rear Discs.... but somehow doesn't feel like breaking is efficient, need change?
4. Rock solid ride, very good soundproof and no cricket sounds!
5. Good cruising, but at about 110kmh, engine roaring loud, tho its non-vtec
6. Air cond = darn cold!

Cons:
1. Tint coming off, is this easy to take out (OEM tinting) ?
2. Engine vibrates when idle. Is this sign of engine problem? I read on other forums that this could either be engine gasket or the injection not firing properly. Gasket changed, how much for injection service / change? Or some other prob?
3. Interior dirty. Leather seats replacement or door trim available? How much ?
4. ABS not working anymore, do not plan to change either, from other forums, seems this never really could work long term...
5. Absorber bouncy. Will change for tokiko (OEM) absorbers.
6. CD changer kong, will change new HU.

Am I missing out on any important checks ? Please add if any :confused_smile:

Cons:

go to any reputable tint shop, can remove em for you.should be around rm50

bring along your mechanic to check it for you.sometimes mounting problem.your mechanic should know

Ive changed my old age interior whole set ( door trims,floor carpet,seat for rm600 ) Workmanship is B+.Take about one whole day

Can ask your mechanic.

5. Absorber bouncy. Will change for tokiko (OEM) absorbers.
tokico OEM abs is set to comfort level, meaning it will be a bit soft and bouncy.need hard one? go for asjustable soft hard set.

6. CD changer kong, will change new HU.
go get a new set which comes with USB.good for a long run.no need CD, just plug in your thumb drive.

Thanks eg8 for the reply. mounting could have already been changed, i will ask owner. Yea, gonna bring along a mech before i pay for the car for final check. I see, so the absorbers are normal then.... good to know : ) Never knew the latest ones had USB connections, I will look out for that ^.^
