Tawau Drag Race event will be on 31st October - 1st November 2009. Test run and tuning the vehicle for the 1st day. For those who are interested in this drag race, you can start prepare yourself from now.

Drag Race event by TAWAU MOTORSPORTS CLUB SABAH is confirmed will be held on 30 October-1 November 2009. The first day is test run day (tuning or practice), 2nd & 3rd day are for Drag Race.


The participation fees are as follows:
CAR - TMCS Member (RM 200.00), Non-member (RM 250.00)
MOTOCYCLE - TMCS Member (RM 100.00) Non-member (RM 150.00)
* The participation fee is including insurance.

The prizes are as follows:
CAR - 1st prize RM1000.00 + Trophy, 2nd Prize RM 500.00 +Trophy, 3rd Prize RM300.00 +Trophy.
The Fastest Time Car - RM300.00 +Trophy

MOTOCYCLE - 1st Prize RM500.00 + Trophy, 2nd Prize RM300.00+ Trophy,
3rd Prize RM200.00+Trophy.
The Fastest Time - RM200.00 + Trophy

*All the prizes above will have changes if each category is below 8 participants.

There are 8 categories for CAR,
A - Open(NOS,4WD,Half Chasiss of Full Chasiss With Racing Gearbox like G-Force or Dogbox.)
B - 2WD Turbo
C - NA Below 2500cc
D - Vtec/Mivec,Supercharge and Rotary Na.
E - K-Car below 1000CC Turbo
F - Proton Cup
G - Half Chasiss With Standard Gear Box
H - Proton below 1500CC

i heard tat many participant come from kk and sandakan for tis racing competition, WIRA 4wd from Kelombong Power Auto team and Speed team will join tis competition too but i dunno Sejaya Auto team will come to twu or x..:wavey:

today is the 1st day of Tawau Drag Race. Good weather. there are around 80 participants in motorcycle drag race. Many participants are from different places, such as Indonesia, Penang, Sarawak and Sabah. :proud:

Tommorow is for Car category Drag Race. Hope the event will going smoothly and having a good weather on tommorow.

NA category are mainly come from Toyota 4ag 20v, i m also participate in this category, my car is using 4g64 engine, donno how my performance will be on tomorow.he.he...

nope. changed last minute to maintained back to TT... afraid that the spectator will havoc due to the car in front "might" not be faster than the car behind due to ET...

to cut the troubles, maintain back tt...

yes ringo's time down.

event overall went quite smooth. the only thing is the long wait.... weather hot like hell... and i was there frm morning till afternoon baru can run.... and due to that.. time was pack.... no test run given... after doing new suspension setup wanna test starting and the traffic light countdown speed also cant.

lost control of spectators when ringgo ran wid tony.... those fcker spectator climbed in without afraid being fucked up if ringgo's rotor fly out from side exhaust or tony's turbine wheel fly out to the side like ninja. really stupid.... the crew tried their best to do everything they could but the monkeys are unstoppable... they are idiot to stand beside the burn out lane....

overall... registration price is good now..more strict which is good... which only paid and registered participants are allowed to test run on saturday. no refunds after register.... (last time i see alot of pl claim refund after they register and car problem on test run)

the vtec is fast..... and i had a good time driving a good old 2TG at that moment

Bro Renxun, u r right...the organizer ask em to modify the timing lamp to ET mode..luckily i made it changable(either TT mode or ET mode)..if not sure be troublesome..at the last day of competition..i use ET mode to test for running my car and i got 13.3sec result..while in competion, i use TT mode but the result is really disappointed me and i got the 15.44sec..so from tis, can see the different between TT and ET mode obviously..


we cant control on the reaction of spectators but we try to make the situation better and under control on the coming drag race competitions..tis problem is usually happened in every racing competitions..as u noe, to resolve tis problem need use a lot of manpower and money...

Actually, those competitors can test run during the registration day(friday) but no one were test run their cars but their test run on sat and sun..i feel soli bcoz ur guyz cant test run before the competition, i try to discuss and solve tis problem with our club commitees.. so tat can giv competitors test run before the competition..

the test run on friday is without the chrismas tree..what i need is the christmas tree... no time taken is okay as its to prevent pl from not joining after see a fast car there... but if thers given run with the christmas tree, i guess we can see alot of improvement on the reaction.
