why not stay with ur stock 1000cc engine but mod it with L2 wiring 12valve head oversize low compress piston, custom intake manifold with oversize TB and td04 turbin (or maybe bigger if u running with standalone)..sure u will feel the power immedietly..rather than converting the engine..most of 1000cc owner done the mod and it potentially proven that the engine can give the high output..
even though in sepang drag battle in E category (k-car), the dominator of the category using 1000cc engine modded with those stuff (maybe different base on their setup)..
just my opinion..

depends on your need and hunger of performance and power output..the more u modded (piston, valves, head etc) the less strength and durability of ur engine..
with some of modded 1000cc that has done by my workshop, it still running smoothly for two years but the idling kinda rough a bit due to high performance camshaft installed..how the engine withstand depends on your driving skills and habit..if u always force the pedal to the floor everytime and boosting higher everytime, then ur engine will also kaboom..frankly speak, even though ur engine is stock standard, it will never last for a long time if u force it everytime..
just to share the experiences

depend on your desire of power output
normally we charge about 3k ++
low compress piston, TD04 turbin, L2 turbo wiring, 12 valve head (port polished) and workmanship..feel free to drop by..we'll discuss more about the mods
