Recently I change the rear muffler for the real n TRUE V8 engine sound; stock muffler will be going along with the new owner.
All major underneath bushings, including both side tie rod changed.
11th July 12 just rewrap the steering n gear knob wif genuine leather.

Very comfortable to drive around, better mileage thanks to the powerful torqy V8 engine.

FYI Japanese less problem compared to conti-car, shd consider this model b4 u make up yr mind.
Well taken care by me, I wash it myself twice a week. Just buy and drive only!

Those r two yrs ago, then the used car dealer known as SP Leong taken and redo sometin for the Road tax then sold in mudah early this yr. Then i bot from there, i paid more than 100k for this car. Then i spent more than 5k to recondition the car.
Btw Carfan how much do u think to buy a 3.0cc (Lexus GS300) engine kosong (just for the engine number only) & how much time n money to get a JPJ runner for the documentation of lower down the cc? Then how much do u think to spend for someone that could n willing to do sometin to the engine without scarifying the ori V8 engine (in a door closing way)!?

But i dont think it is expensive (how about an AE86 selling at 50k sound to u?)!? Remember this dude...this car was once at 500k price tag!

I am thinking of getting an LS so I follow the ads. I still don't get it. Why did you pay over 100k for it when it was advertised for 88k?

Was the conversion to 3000 cc done after you bought it? It is the original engine, but with smaller cylinders?

As for the money put into this, usually any modification of a car from original lowers the value. Can't expect to get that money back. Same with maintenance cost like timing belt and bushings. It is wear part replacement and normal ownership cost. Doing it doesn't add to the car. But if you don't do it the car will lose value.

Ppl who advertised at 88k is "hari ini dalam sejarah" od! Talkin too much, doesn't help u to gettin my car! Moreover previous fellow urgently sold it at that price, doesnt means this car is market at that value! Public bank allowing loan up to 100k n more, if its doesnt worth, dont think the bank will offer me that!?
If i am makin u an offer at below 90k, can u confirm now? If u are man n serious then u call me n come over n talk to me. Everythin got its own value, if u cant afford at the price im askin, y dont u come n nego with me, otherwise u are not my target market!
Seriously wan to know more, then u call or meet up with me, i will clear all ur guessing!
BTW at lis who buy my car will have all the maintainence histories, i don care whether it is add or lose value to u! Even worse is, gettin a car from an used car dealer u got nothin but gotta guess n trustin them! And all my said here are genuine at lis!

Yes, a big plus if you have the service history. But I am not a buyer on this LS as I prefer original engine, original muffler, original wheels, everything ori... Only asking about your car out of curiosity... this is a car forum... we talk about cars right...

To me ,if you are really interested in the car but curious it is fine to make inquiries.But it seems to me you are creating an irritating question towards the seller which it doesnt help and pointless.Its obvious that you wanted to ruin his sales. If you could NOT afford the price ,just move on to another car model which is suitable to your budget.Nissan 130y?

Carfan, to help answer your question:

This Lexus is still running the stock 4.3-litre 3UZ-FE V8 engine. But work has been done to show that the engine is a 3.0-litre, so that the buyer/owner can pay lower road tax.

To summarize it, you are actually driving a 4.3-litre car while paying for 3.0-litre road tax. Is that clear enough for you?

The engine modification spoils the car for me. I am wary of any alerations done to the engine on a complex car like this. I would also like to keep the power. I can afford the car tax on *a 4.3 liter original.

I asked why the car was up from 88k last year to give the seller the chance to explain things done to the car that might increase the value, but he has not given any. Asking why a car is for sale is something everyone does from a private seller, especially when the seller has owned it for only a short time.

*As for me "spoiling" the sale by asking questions, I believe you overstate my influence. This car has been listed for months on Mudah and Carlist already, so if it doesn't sell it might have something to do with the modifications done to the car and the increased price.

The seller*is only angry because I know his secret. He bought a car for under 88k and is trying to sell it for 109k, now reduced to 99k.*

But this is not very smart because everyone can see the old price on the internet. Did he do something to increase the value of the car? No. He only wants more money for it. But if anything the car should be cheaper now, because it is one year older already. So a higher price is not going to work.

I have never been registered on zero to 100 hundred before. I joined to read the Lexus forum since I am thinking aboüt a 430. I have tried the 460 before. I like the 430 better. 430 has bigger windows.

Alteration means to change something. The engine is changed from 4.3 to 3 liter. I would prefer the original engine. If I buy this car I can not kno
how well the work was done or if it will lead to problems later. I only know the engine will have less power. Even Accord V6 has more than 3 liter.*

If the seller gets so upset because I ask a question, he should not put the car on a discussion forum. In a forum people ask questions and discuss, like we do now.

If the seller can get his money back when selling the car, good for him. If he can sell it for more than he paid, even better - for him. *But selling an old luxury car is difficult unless it is very cheap. This is the same for S-class and 7-series. They are hard to sell 2nd hand. But you can sell anything on Mudah if the price is right. I sell things there too. When selling 2nd hand it is important to not be greedy. If it is not sold after a week it means the price is too high.
