salam n gud afternoon guys
i need help for upgrading neo sr 16 vvl
its seem to me quit same with vtec which i familiar but
not improve much...
plese help me...

that is many way to upgrade 16VE
it just what you want and what is your direction and your financial can afford it or not

for now i wanna to upgrade for street use
maybe on saturday night have little drag with friend at johor circuit
for now i already upgrade fuel pump, fuel regulator, extrctor complete piping, hks air filter open pod, exedy clucth.
do i need to add adjustable cam pulley?
is it possible for 16ve cos using timing chain?

basically for SR16VE that the stuff you have upgraded
except engine management and suspension handling as well aftermarket LSD
unless you go crazy power like N1 spec then you should go ahead if you have the $$

b14
so for management which better to use?
some say e manage n vmanage
some say use haltech

e manage yes. only controls one solenoid. you have to choose either intake or exhaust. (since 16ve activates differently, unlike VTEC)

v manage no. can't control either one or both solenoid.

haltech wise, not sure. but most 16ve users that i knew, goes for S500.

MKMD428 : thanks bro
if like me wanna it for street use the diameter for piping?
2.2,2.3 or 2.5?

most of my friend that has at least the same mod like you. goes for 2.3 inch.
there are some that goes for 2.5 inch.
if u ask me, my opinion is to go for 2.3 inch (taking the mods that u done, in consideration)
but if u are thinking of more mods to come...eg: piggyback..straight forward go for 2.5 inch.
neovvl engine loves to breathe..the more u tweak it..the more it breathes..hahaha

cmng uses 3.0 inch for his 20ve converted to manual. B14
and even there's one person who uses stock 20ve with stock CVT gearbox, use 3.0 inch piping (with mods off course..) Y10

thanks bro.this week i try to apply the set of piping first
i will use emanage n see wat d outcome...

good step..good luck.
post some updates here..it'll be good to share ideas and thoughts

for the LSD after market like cmng said what is the type, brand and where to find?

thanks little LittleWhiteWagon.
i already make my piping yesterday 2.5 and i use N1 racing muffler also 2.5

you should focus on what you want
handling or power
if you want both together then the whole car setup is different

upgrading one by one is good but that is time consuming and spend more $$

i have my own focus
i want handling + a power that more than enough to play with many car
hench i focus on my handling part and left the engine stock with proper exhaust setup only
since i know 2.0VE + 16VE gearbox power is more enough for my requirement
so brake setup, suspension and rim and tire setup is my priority

i not sure what you want.. some people want to drag, some people want to track
so it will some with different setup for it

ops sory bro cmng.
like i said i wanna upgrade for street use and sometime go 'test2 power' with friend.
for now my tire is Toyo T1R,my rim is advan tc 16,my absorber is tien super street.
i also use ultra racing bar and auto foam for straining my car body.

so i quit satisfied with this.that why i focus on engine now.
but i still need suggestion or info from you guys.

thanks again bro cmng.:)

1. street use
2. occasionally 'test power' with friends.

i presume that your aim is to have a car that can smoke majority street cars whilst having the pleasure of friendly competition with friends..

stroke your engine to 2.0VE. its the best and suits your requirement.
source parts from cmng. he can help u.
he's the right man to ask, vast experience with SR20ve manual inside B14.

thanks little LittleWhiteWagon.
i already make my piping yesterday 2.5 and i use N1 racing muffler also 2.5

Haha sure dude, so how much difference is there? I almost swapped my engine to a SR16 also
