good point stated there, so far, i can't find any articles that say silicon spray will vaporized..
but it definitely worth a thinker..
on what is a silicon spray:

Yup, trying to find out what silicone spray too. If those lubricating silicone spray, I don't think it can stand exhaust pipe temperature and will just vaporized....

I bought one bottle for think less than SGD20.. go jurong point there downstairs.. opposite the Samsung shop there's a hardware shop.. I used mine for the base coat for my swift brakes before the yellow paint.. till now not even a single fade for the yellow colours, only some stone chips..

wow, thanks bro.
i went to ubi today to hunt for this paint can.. all never sell..
1 can should be enough for the whole header, i'm thinking of getting 2 can, spray the whole exhaust..
anyway, i saw a promo in autobacs, SGD10 for 3 can of silicon spray from soft99.
said to prevent moist, conditioning leather, rubber, engine and even tire.
it could also be applied on the windscreen..
not bad, i grab 6 cans at a go :proud:
ok, the shop that you referring is call selffix DIY, they have an outlet at tampines.
going over after work, SGD16 per can, got blue, black, silver

Yes, so tomoro you'll be at ken there?![]()
yeah, only a while.. need to go out and shop...

OK, update.
I Just bought my high temperature paint, blue color.
The paint should be waterproof right, I assume
if my intention is to reduce the engine bay temperature, by directing CAI hose to somewhere near the exhaust manifold help?
currently using 4-2-1 SS extractor and have done lifted hood...wanna further decrease engine bay temp especially extractor area. (i know exhaust wrap is the best way but i need more budget for that)
atm wanna try out cheaper alternatives.... :)

currently not using open-pod air filter...by putting CAI hose directing to the area between the radiator and the exhaust manifold.will it helps to direct cold air from front into that area? CAI hose take air from front from the foglamp hole. Then it won't help your engine performance, taking in hot air....![]()

concern and goal is to reduce temperature...i dont expect performance improvement.... :D

Purpose CAI is to provide colder air for combustion. Colder extractor is not good, that why manufacture put a zink on top of the extractor to prevent it become colder.
Better you put CAI for air intake

hmm..perhaps i can change plan to remove the stock drop-in air filter scoop and route it using CAI to the foglamp hole...You will decrease the performance by taking in hot air. Now is taking in air from outside that is why it is located at your fog lamps...
owh, u mean the layer of zink on the extractor? looks like the only best solution here is exhaust wrap already...Purpose CAI is to provide colder air for combustion. Colder extractor is not good, that why manufacture put a zink on top of the extractor to prevent it become colder.
