CF parts are ok so long it is associated with real performance car, super car or exotics...where and when it matters.

but if CF parts are used in everyday bread & butter car, I dont see any point...Imagine having CF bonnet, fender, bumper, etc but stuck in traffic jam 90% of the time, monday to friday from office to home and vice versa...

Actually why not? Probably FC might decrease with overall lesser weight? Besides, a certain someone here would prefer to drive slowly to show off his car *coughsupracoughfan* so if really full carbon the fella can do a poser along Bangsar.

A car that has no power will always be a car that has no power no matter how many CF parts you put on it. Besides, if you really did go full-on proper CF, it'll cost you more than your cars worth to do it.

If can afford to do CF parts on his Mira, I think he might as well keep the money and sell off the car to get a better car than Mira. AE101 or EG/EK for example.... No matter how many CF parts on stock "Mira" also, I doubt it can keep up with 4A-GE or B16A/B16B....

No offence to SF la, but if he wants to do it, can also. At least the car will stand out among other Mira. One in a million, CF equipped Mira. On the downside, the car will become a thief magnet also...

The decrease FC might be very little, almost insignificant.


Let's a assume you save 20kg using CF bonnet than ori steel bonnet.
Assume your standard car is 1000kg thus the car with CF bonnet is now 980kg.

That is just 2% lighter in the car, but spent thousand of RM for the CF bonnet. Plus the risk of being thief magnet and worry about JPJ boys....

Might as well throw-away the spare tyre to get the same weight reduction, with zero spending. Throw away the toolkit, throw away the junk in the boot, etc.....much more, simpler weight reduction.

So, I think supercar would be appropriate using CF parts. Lighter car can shave-off milisecond from 0-60. Makes some difference when compared to other supercars.

Other daily ride/cars, up to the owner's sensibility....his money his liking...whether worth or not.

Its to a point that i'm obsessed about learning how engines work and the art of modifying. It's not just about trying to be different. Mask as in put masking tape around the edges you don't want to be sprayed. Refer to the Plastidip thread.

Auto go for 4-1. 421 is for manual as it allows high air flow to travel better so manual can utilize 421 better. Unless you often rev yr car
