If buying cars like Impreza WRX STI, I rather go for the old ones since they are using the same EJ207 for JDM models. New one cost almost RM300k while I can get Version 9 for like 70-80k. Can save like RM200k already. Even if I go for recon GRB or GVB chassis, that is only like 150k. Can save up a lot for mods. I don't think repairs and restoration for old models can reach as high as RM200k.

Din't like V7 because of that weird front face. If can't get V9, probably just find GC8.

Actually for new graduate, too old the car also not good. Like you mention cannot get loan. Probably a few years old, repayment also less. If getting old car then buy cash, no loan repayment just maintenance......lol

ah hahaha i did this... graduated then saved like a madman and then did something i would not advise. Blow almost the entire sum on a 20 year old car with very little incase crap went south. :proud: (owai do i feel so proud)

You got yourself a sports car. But how long did you take to save up that amount? More than 5 years or less?

well sports car ahh? i like to call it my junk lol. i think it was less than that cant even remember exactly how long...., but i didnt have to pay rent and all that, so can kumpul a fair sum....

Based on my calculations if I save up at least RM500 a month, it will take me like at least 10 years before I am able to afford an Impreza WRX STI.

i think you can save more than that, probably alot more than that since you are not planing to move out of ipoh kan?

also salary sure naik bit by bit, so long as your lifestyle doesnt slowly become more expensive at the same rate, should be fine kut....

Able to save RM500 is quite a lot already considering that I will allocate like maybe RM500 for meals outside, RM400 for family living costs and bill, RM300-RM400 petrol, RM300 for my mother. Well, this is just a rough estimation but I guess I will probably spend less on meals outside.

Salary increment I expect at least like maybe 2 years later after working?

For now, my aim is GDB Version 9 WRX STI but after several years later, might change to GVB Version 10 WRX STI if the price drops further. The interior of version 10 is way better than the one in GDB chassis.

Able to save RM500 is quite a lot already considering that I will allocate like maybe RM500 for meals outside, RM400 for family living costs and bill, RM300-RM400 petrol, RM300 for my mother. Trying to get one now. That is why I got mention maybe in future plans might change.
