Which is better for 4g63?2.0cc,2.2cc or 2.4cc for drag 2wd?

with max lift , and degree, it doesnt determine the performance yet :D
so cant really say bro unless u got the full spec , ramp rate , etc everything of the cam spec

headache already.....jo1 suggest bc, joshua says jun top end graph naik...haha....

If money and waiting time is not the problem just order the fp4r or 5r... but for your turbo BC will do. If JUN is your choice, it the best cam for 1g and 2g aside from GSC and FP but the price is a bit high.

Bump: hey we always talk about HKS,JUN,TOMEI,BC,FP how bout this poor little KELFORD cams? any comments?was thinking of changing my BC272 to kelford 280

u said fp4r/5r is overkill to my setup right? joshua likes BC or not? i'm afraid if he is not familiar with that cam,he wont be comfortable. if he is not comfortable,he wont push to the limit.

FP4/5R is good for your current spec and future upgrade.. it better you have it when you need it rather than don't have it when you need it. If you continue with the current spec bc will do, no need to source the fp which required waiting time and extra money.

Joshua is a good tuner.. cam selection will not limit his tuning skill unless you grind your own cam with a grinder.

hahaha... iheard one of mechanic at my place grind the cam itself....

buy both la...hahaha and try one by one...

hehehe....you sponsor la, i'd be more than happy to try both of them.

anyone have try highest rpm on 2.4?

Max u can go i think 7500 due to it's rod ratio..but there are some people in US running 8K rpm with no issue but bare in mind it's a weekend drag car not a daily driver :) cheers..

gents,

need your help and suggestions. I am planning to build a 4G93 NA which I hope to get it to rev to at least 9k safely. For this I understand one of the major consideration is the hydraulic lifter which are not suited for high revs and also high duration/lift cams. How can i get this changed to a solid lifter. I saw a HKS solid lifter kit being advertised a long time ago, but is there such item available? If not who can do it locally and what is the cost?

I am also looking out for 11.5:1 forged high comp pistons with 82mm bore for the 4G93. Anyone has this locally or whom should i contact to obtain these pistons?

Thanking you in advance.

Like i said,it's a drag car not daily driven car :) u can rev it pass 8K rpm but interm of reliability.how long can the engine last? :) cheers

for ur info bro this is road car with road tax he3. used vg piston almost 3-4 year without problem. rev to 10k rpm on 4g64 block. clock 11.3 et at sepang. hope can break 10 sec with otr spec this year.
with good tuning no problem la bro. even forged piston without good tuning can cair bro.

good tuning + good driver + chop shop parts + daily driven otr body = 10 sec bracket in 2009:driver:

u can fit up to 88mm piston in vr4/61/67 block bro. cheap piston but proven part. support up to 600+hp in sdb drag cars and otr hi boost cars.:biggrin::biggrin:
