Went to renew my road tax today and was shocked that it was black-listed by JPJ and thus could not renew. But was able to renew the car insurance yesterday. How come the insurance staff did not check it is black-listed and inform that will have problem renewing road tax as JPJ black-listed ?

The car was under my brother's name but he passed away. When sending for inspection last year, PUSPAKOM will not approve to change name as it is kereta potong. Could it be PUSPAKOM reported to JPJ that it is kereta potong and thus JPJ blacklisted it ?

Or JPJ somehow found that the car owner has passed away and thus black-list the car ?

So, what can I do ?

Maybe it's a kereta potong. Kereta potong is not legal on the road. Or maybe there is outstanding summons that tied to the car. Just my 50 cents.

blacklisted cars are not able to be on the road anymore. so you will be unable to drive it.
some of the reason of blacklisting is due to
- illegal engine modifications/transplant
- tinting problem which requires u to send yr car for inspection but u didnt turned up
- engine or chassis number tempered
- cloned car - 2 cars wit same registration number
- kereta sambung/potong
- summons not paid
-accident involved death
-stolen vehicle etc etc

the most serious one is kereta potong, u r lucky puspakom didnt confiscate yr car. usually they'll compound yr car and ask u to go home....but they already put it in the system then i think no longer can renew road tax.

about the insurance company, when they issue cover note, they should inform u about it coz when they send yr details to jpj via online, the reply from jpj usually will be "not ok" and they ethically should inform u and ask u to check what happened there in jpj...instead of collecting money from u and kept quiet.....if really cant renew, go to the insurance company and seek full refund from them within 7days as the cover note is not used.

hope this could help a little.

If blacklisted due to kereta potong, what can I do to un-blacklist it ?

kereta potong cannot be road legal, no way you can get thru it, provided those fella prepare to go undertable then maybe you can pull it thru. Maybe u ask some runner to help you out but it will cost you some money i think.

Kereta potong is a bit dangerous to drive, life is more important than money,

sorry to heard that, :idea:try to get back the root were u 1st handed the car...

no chance bro to get it unblacklisted unless u start to pump in huge cash
and yes, once puspakom fails it for kereta cantum, it is blacklisted
