good idea. Take your time, I'm sure can get unregistered nice ones. Yes, MY05 GDBE stock rims are the multispoke ones. good luck bro.

some dealers have the reputation of under declaring. This could be the case. Car specs is 05 GDBE but paper work says 2004. If you buy may be OK but keep your fingers crossed for any dealing with insurance claim in the future. You can claim, but based on 04 value lah. 1st year insurance sure have to follow higher premium.

I think so but so far hvt heard of any1 get GDB-D since FHI not produce many units for type D. Correct me if I wrong.

yes, most of 2004 v8 are GDB-D. This includes some V-Limited edition 555 units made to celebrate Subaru's winning of WRC 2003.

IIRC, GDB-C some have auto-DCCD, some don't have.

GDB-D all must have auto-DCCD.

if can get a unit w/ DCCD is much better, & more fun to drive @ corner.

auto or manual dccd is better? very subjective. some peeps like auto so don't have to worry much.
GDB-C and GDB-D all still without wider rims and wider fender right? Right.
izit only GDB-E has the same air-con thingy as version 9? Yes.

this is what i meant, differences between type c/d, e, and f. correct me if i'm wrong.

type c/d.
seems right. Also notice the cup holder on 03/04 is at the a/c vents.

my old car was a MY03 GDB-C.

I put the DCCD on auto all the time, mostly because I was not sure how to play with it.

hi guys, on DCCD thingy, what about the earlier models without DCCD i.e v7 ? I mean, whats the factory spec differential distribution between front and rear ? and is it true to say those without DCCD is the same as DCCD sets in auto ? since i understand the device only enables us to control the distributions to suits our favourable driving style. many thanx :itsme:

oh.. so GDB-C/D and GDB-E's DCCD is the same?
all can be set to auto and manual?
so C/D and E has nothing different on DCCD?
only the rims and fender and aircon is different?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, from what I know, should be 35/65.

Ony v9 STi changed to 49/51 and comes with torque sensing LSD.

Those without DCCD is the same as DCCD set in auto? Yeah, I guess you can say that. That's why if you find GDBC without DCCD, it doesn't really matter as long as the condition is good andthe ECU has not gone crazy.

From my reading, I found out that the DCCD changed a lot from v8 to v9.
Since some v9 is still GDBE, I wouldn't say the DCCD is all the same between C/D and E.
IMO, for your money the MY03 GDB-C full spec is your best buy. Full spec means it comes with DCCD and STi factory bodykit. It is the very same year Subaru won their last championship.
