Great to hear tat u r goin to install ITB!Tis is the things tat u need bfore installing ITB:

1) adjustable fuel regulator
2) walboro 255 lph in tank fuel pump
3) 390cc injectors

U might think y i suggested the 390cc injectors?It is becoz when u r using management to matter how big the injector is, it stil can control the fuel!Don't use stock injectors, when tuning a car, we must not try to use the management to push the injectors, tis is not a good idea! we must use bigger injectors n trim it down!
This is all i can suggest for the time being n hope it will help u....update us v d results after u have installed the ITB

Cheers

Yup gsr injector was good for 220hp machine,but if the setup is not radical mivec injector will do.

nice to hear from an itb lover!!!

As for the cost, maybe close to 5k tho well lets take a rough calculation

toyota itb =300
custom adaptor =approx. 1300(ouch)
bellmouth trumpet =440 (aluminium, no kidding)
ems+tax+installation+tune =approx. 1800(in my case its Megasquirt)
fuel delivery and such =approx. 500
total =approx. 4340

for me its a huge project.. i came in the shop with a 4g93 head. now ended up swapping with mivec block and head.. crazy ah? since the block is better in high rev than sohc 4g92block and the nature of itb in high revs. thats the reason i changed

well.. i do have time now.. using it to the fullest...!!! money can dig there dig
here.. hehehe

my worries are now on the tuning... well its still a long way there...
hope everything goes well.. only thing is $$$... where to dig sumore?????
hope this thread lives on and assist others like us.. with the help of our sifu's ofcourse.. (not me)

cheerio!!

Tuning is easy providing you have done these things;

1) head ported correctly
2) Compression is upped
3) Good cam setup
4) Good xtractor design.

If you dont port your head there will be no power, if using standard compression low RPM will bog down, if using standard cam power will taper off early, if u using mivec standard manifold engine will be not revvy as what (itb) supposed to do.

You have to expect these factor when installing ITB,,,,1) Super quick throttle response which means 1st and 2nd gear should be zaap & zaap redline,,redline.
2) Properly flow ITB will "maxed" out mivec injector 3) Your high RPM must climb faster than the mid one.

If you achieve those 3 attributes,,,meaning that your ITB design & tuning is damn "cun", if you happen to feel "sluggish" or termenung,,,that means you have to "redesign" the ITB length and size. Good luck

A bit of a secret here,,,example 200bhp ITB can always outrun 220bhp cars with intake manifold,,,reason is bcoz it can revs out faster than the manifold do,,,,get the idea:shades_smile: .

What do u mean by "using standard manifold engine will be not revvy as what itb supposed to do"? Do u mean the extractor?? Coz once fabricating itb,.. there wont be the standard intake manifold anymore.. Pls clear me up here.. Assuming its the extractor.. Im thinking of getting a 4-1 design.. what dya think?

......1000 for aluminium cone.. which im not going to make.. yet..
Those so call CONE (trumpet) are very important to an ITB set-up so I suggest up don't skimp on these.....

For information sake I am getting 315cc (my goal is 200bhp) Siemens Deka Injectors.

Yup i'm really looking foward to this project too, know preparing to do the full pnp process before proceeding to quad throttle.

sorry guys, i went south for a couple of days..

315cc injectors? i thot ur using h22a.. should u be using bigger capacity injectors????

hmm.. as for the trumpet.. definitly got the right place to do.. and cheaper also!!!
costs around 400+.
material=aluminium..
shape=bellmouth.
even have a pic attached..

the adaptor is still under fabrication...:Not_Impressed:
my megasquirt arrived last week :shocked: , not assembled yet.
while waiting, i sent my engine mounts to be "teflonned'. hehe got a good price.
now wondering what length should i make the trumpets.. I have the intake length calculator but still looking for someone can really guide me in this.

will update soon..

Yes by right I should be using bigger capacity injectors... maybe 360cc but for now i guess it should suffice.

The adapter have to be right so don't rush things, do it once and do it right.

Trumpets looks ok and price CHOON... as for calculation depends on where u want the power (early or later :regular_smile: ) and your adapter length.

About the Teflon engine mounts... well I may need your help later...

Good luck on your project,,,leftfoot may i know who built your ITB. As far as i know only a few can get it right,,,for klang valley it's either SRF Racing, R4 Motorsport, ProDrag/Lydia and 1 puchong tuner.. Other than that ??

a shop in subang industrial,.. cant really say the name here.. its an engineering shop. done lotsa itb b4,.. its not a motorsports workshop if u want to know.

as for the tuning.. hmm well,.. the person whose going to install megasquirt is also the person whose going to tune it up.. :regular_smile:

not that i dont trust all those names. but to me there are hidden talents among us here that we can share and learn together..

those names may done good results,.. but theyr also $$$ oriented.

well, lets just say i found myself someone who can really do this job and at the same time, willing to share things that not all big names can...

i'll keep u guys posted..
