4G91 Gang..

if u love pickup so much ... save some money and buy mivec gb plus exedy 3 pucks. hehe . just my 2cents.
 
ok thanks guys 4 all your opinion..i think my GB choice are 1.mivec 1.6, 2.4G93, 3.4G91..if you guys have info about wts these gearbox just pm me or repy here..bump 4 today..hehe..:idea:
 
Go to a 'trustable' workshop (ur usual workshop) and get them to find a gearbox for you.
That way there is no dispute between u and the gearbox seller, coz' u go thru your workshop; therefore your workshop will be responsible and will guarantee ur car go in and come out with what u want. =)

Spend a lil' more to potentially save spending much much more.

I've seen many times people sendiri pandai pandai go cari own gearbox, manage to find one 100 bux cheaper than market price just to find out it doesn't function as well upon installation, and usually will have a problem getting the seller to refund/swap to another working one.

Of course there are exceptionally lucky cases where people get parts dirt cheap and are in perfect working condition laaa... but in order for that to happen you gotta really know how to check before u accept the goods.
 
ok,thanks 4 your advice alvin..actually i am a newbie here n my english is poor but i 'll try my best la..hehe..i prefer used bahasa melayu actually n have join protonbiz marketplace n forum..many seller n forum have not active more than a year..so i found 0-100 forum n luckily its update..thanks again 4 all forumer advice n opinion..i will find a good n experience workshop so my investment will make gain.. :biggrin:

hi guys i just changed my engine
just input adjustable cam pulley
other then that all standard ..
using wira currently .. using back the 1.5 gearbox
so just need some opinions since im driving long distance always and very caution abt FC
1) how to make exhaust system
2) how if change the air filter ..
3) any other suggestion on how to mod for a betttter drive ..

ask you all at here,4g93 block n 4g92 mivec bolck ,whice 1 better???i'm using 4g91 all stock now.
 
mivec block is better because got oil squirter ... but in term of power .. 4g93 block is the answer.

1st...tune ur right foot....
then get a piggyback n tune ur AFR....get more power n better FC....
as for exhaust....guess we hav had a lot of discussion abt it.....

mivec block = got oil squitter + high comp pistons....
1.8 block = higher cc, no oil squitter, not so high comp pistons if compared to mivec....
wat's ur aim for changing engine block???
mivec block will be more rev-friendly....but 1.8 block will giv u more torque.....
btw....changing to either block...u'd hav to hav supporting mods....if not the new block (although hav higher displacement) will not b working at its full potential.....

only today im going to take my car out .... .
didnt really notice the thread of the exahust ssytem ...

yeah using carb .. not fuel injection ... too expensive for fuel injection ..
so i gues the way i drive and the exhaust system and the tuning plays a big game ..
 
Oil squirters are not as important as u think. Its not necessary, shouldn't have to be in your criteria list when choosing between the 2 blocks.
Whats more important is to understand that neither of these blocks are 100% compatible with the 4G91 head, because the oil passage for the block and head will not be aligned. If u are to get a 4g92/93 block, go for a 4G92/93 head as well. It will be more reliable that way.

Upgrading block of course increases the displacement, thus you will then need engine management, bigger injectors, fuel pressure regulator, quite possibly a bigger fuel pump as well, just to say a few. There are more supporting mods.

You can change the air filter if u fancy it, which only increases 2-3hp (which of course u won't really be able to feel the difference driving it on the roads), but as for exhaust, if u're aiming for fuel efficiency, then maintain your stock exhaust.
My Satria last time running 4G91 with stock 1.3 exhaust, managed to get over 500kms per full tank (some 4G91 owners I know can clock up to 600km per full tank with some highway driving). AFter change exhaust, about 420-450km max only.

well my stock before i have changed my engine was 4-2-1 and has an automatic bullet and a 1998 mufler .. standard ...

then since im changing the engine ... i have to change my bullet since i have changed from auto to manual trans and the mufler is stand ...

so do u think that i should just fix the 4g91 extractor to the original system ... wat kinda bullet should i change ...

now at jb got a person want to sale mivec block got pass rm1100.this price can buy ma?
my plan is mivec block 4g93 head+e-manage.guess how many hp can get???
