Its for my dad actually, he's asked me to do some digging on this car, the new 2L Honda civic. All I've seen so far is just the specs from the website and passing a few on the road. So guys, i'd REALLY appreciate any comments/reviews about this car! whats the power like, FC, handling? good? maintenence cost...etc etc. How about accessories and mod-parts? Dress-up items actually, like rims and stuff...

i think thats about it for now...all your comments are appreciated!

hey bro,

i own a civic 2.0 last thursday, fews day back, i found out some knockin sound front front when i drive.So, i sent it to service centre to find out what's wrong..according to them,it's moulding problem somemore among 10 civic, atleast 6 or 7 having same problem and it's under warranty. And now i waiting the part to replace....

WELL.. a fren just bought it.. bluish/silver colour..
all i can say is, its damn nice, i like the interior/trim, quite spacious just like the previous ones, but....

errr, since that most of us b-series user r kinda like a REV saint, i dont think this car suits us.. more to a executive/family car hehehe...
but, the engine is smooth thou... but no vtec heard.. =)
i didnt ask dat much to my fren, just praising on the car... *wink*

the car IS gonna be for dad after all...altho he does get kinda power hungry sometimes...haha! all he needs is something comfortable and smooth, with enough power for running on the highway, etc. Like some cars are good town cars, ie: his current vios, i've tested the older civic 1.7...these cars are alright when driven around town (torquey enough) but not toooo impressive when on the highway.

oo...i received a comment from one of my customers @ work...he warned me that the rubber linings tend to age real bad and REALLY fast...he's experiencing very annoying wind noise inside the car now.

Altho i have no proof, its kinda scary, BUT, kinda unlike honda isnt it? these kinda problems you'd find on a proton or something...haha

I think this might be suitable for your dad. I just love the new looks on this civic. Elegant yet sporty. Has the Accord feel now. Saw the new Civic with a nice 16 " sport rims and it looks awesome.

You could ask your dad to test drive 1st before deciding.

i know! he must have fallen in love with it too. haha! we'll be going for a test drive soon, dont know when, so busy at work...arGH!

what worries me is the power u see...150hp on a car that weighs 1.3tonnes...gotta try get a test drive on a highway like we did to the chevy optra lst time. muahahaha!

Power wise, should be enough for city drive. Whats more important is fuel efficiency.
