Advan Neova AD07

Even a simple matter of tyre pressure effects tyre performance...

On AD07 durability.... i've had my set since mid 2005. Not much left now, probaly 30% but still ok. Since then they've taken me through 7-8 trackdays (something like that... lost count), 4-5 times Nilai 3 sessions and 1 class F at Sepang drag battle round 1 earlier this yr. I'd take them through another 2 trackday.

But i'm no hardcore racer, just an ordinary joe who likes motorsports and participates for fun... and on a budget i might add... so for me, thus far, these are the perfect tyres for work and play...

Ohh... just wanna ask around....
Was in Klang a couple of weeks back and saw Yokohama Parada Spec 2 on promotion. Lovely thread design. 15/50/195s were going for a bargain. RM160 a pop!! US mags say these are great... anybody tried them here in Malaysian conditions or on our hot track?? Was thinking of these as a replacement... (me on budget maa)

yup agreed with lennon...
RE001 is made so that its affordable for normal use incorperated with some good characteristics of what the RE01R has. i doubt if its officially release for sale here its gonna be cheap...cause its one of the best street tyres produced by bridgestone

bro..the ones avail here for 15" sizes if not mistaken is under license & its made in the philipines. thats why its on the cheaper side. not yet tested but i think its generally there (just like the gsd3 f1...some thailand...some germany)

just my 2 cents

That doesn't sound logic...... RE01R is the most pricey road going tyres produced by Bridgestone....

yes guys, i expect your would ask this question the moment i pressed the "Submit" button. i studied both tyre thread and for the higher price i am willing to pay for RE01R instead of RE001. In my personal opinion, I would take the cost for paying RE001 and get Michelin Pilot Sport.:_:

RE001 just new to the market, I had no evidence or faith of its performance and durability until time says so. hehe...

2 cents on time sand

Since you can rotate use RE01R, there will be lots of savings...... That's the bright side....

the adrenalins are very much cheaper than neovas...17 inch is rm490 a piece n re001 is 450..? maybe less..

OFF TOPIC

gesto - i like the RE-001's...but u cant rotate the tires for even wear...u can only rotate front n back n not left to right...thats the prob with RE-001's...IF u do,the purpose is defeated as ur not positioning the thread where its suppose to be n hence degrade its level of performance. what if ur cambers rear -2 n front -1..? u keep rotating front n back...makes no diff even if u dont rotate the tires...
The RE 001 actually can be rotated.

The thread pattern is "Outside" "Inside" type, so if already fiited on wheel can swap front to back or crossover diagonally.

hahaha... fat.. long time swap to 16" d la... where gt fast... slow like turtle gt la.. haah

then the choice of the premium 'rubber' is vital for street/performance use without compromising safety
ah okei okei. If then that's the case, I'd say AD07 is performing good so far. But that day, I braked a little to late and was driving a little too fast, my ad07's went... ssscccrrrreeeecccchhhh and there was quite a bit of smoke. Dang! Now, cos of that, I think I half killed my drive shaft or possibly my front bearings is now half dead. My car has got this funny vibration on and off now. hhmm....

Brakes locking with lotsa smoke . Sounds like you've flat spotted your tires. hence the vibration

faisal,
I checked out my tyres, it seems to be ok. I'm guessing I may have killed my drive shaft cos the last time i screeched my wheels, my drive shaft died. hahaha The thing is, the vibration is not consistent. Sometimes it will be there, sometimes not.

so easy kill drive shaft?? sure or not? Sounds more like a flat spot to me too.
