Best SQ player for less than RM1500

Hi all, can you please recommend the best SQ CD player I can get for less than RM1500 (only new unit)? I've been considering Pioneer DEH-7950UB but don't know if the SQ is good or if there's better player I can get. Thanks!

I've been looking for players at shops in my area, noticed there's eclipse 7100 selling for 2k+, and pioneer 7950UB is available at RM1k (as posted in ICE for sale section), wonder if the RM1k difference between them is worth the money, I mean the difference is like 2x but will I get 2x better sound quality?

I don't think there is anybody that can quantify sound quality. Can you quantify the beauty of 2 ladies say Miss A is prettier than Miss B two times or by %? More importantly is whether you appreciate the SQ from the HU and is the money paid by you justifiable from the results you get. I see some change their ICE items more than they change their clothes but they never get what they want. Try to listen from some of the forummers set up and a get a picture of what you are looking at. Are you a discern listener or just a casual listener? Some ICErs will never even take a look at HUs below RM2k and are you one of them??

if u want bang for bucks and sq,then try get the used unit eclipse 8061,very ichiban HU! A used unit can get for around RM1.2k :regular_smile:

nowdays dont have good & cheaper new HU loor.. all cost >RM5K.. that why alot ppl go back to older HU like 7909, 7939, 7949, 8061, D1, 9255Exl.. if U go to mycarhifi, gr8Tunes, carhifi U will see they put on sale after a while using it.. if CD7000, P80, 9835 also got, dont ask leer the lowers range 1..
