DIY cold air intake

I connected my CAI pipe straight to the airfilter box and the mouth is at the bumper.. will there be any chance of water getting sucked in and then hilating my engine? :unsure:

well.. if rain... no matter heavy or not.. it will be ok.. i've tested on high speed driving in rain... ok... no water at de air fliter at all.. its fine... B)

but if flood...then i duno... better dun go over flooded areas more than 1feet

i'm using about 3 feet(mayb slightly longer) for my stock airbox CAI...

u can get the NASA hose from ninja_iga... smooth inside.. rm10 per feet

or u can use those car aircon hose... not 100% smooth inside.. for rm3.xx a feet.. i using de aircon hose.. n it works also.. no money use cheap hose lor... :P

yyap.. I bought my CAI hose from Ninja_Iga.. and DIYed it jor... maybe you can go look for him.. his piping is good leh.. :D

fellas, i am trying to put 2 hose to engine bay area. cos right now i am having only one...and that cai is done on driver side of the lubang...but i cant seem to find a lubang on the passenger side....any sif00 here can help?

for the Proton M-cars (Putra, Satria, Wira)

if stock filter: 2ft 2.5" is more suitable, plug and play, baby!
remove the U-snorkle and attach hose from front fog-light to the airbox pipe.

if open pod, 3ft 2.5" is then only enough..

2.5" is RM10 per ft.

ninja_iga, how about standard air filter for Iswara 1.3???? still using original snorkel, the hose from snorkel to exhaust header was 'patah' olredi....can make CAI from that hole hah????

so how will it turn out when we are driving through flood? will the water sucked into the hose too? since the DIY hose is so low...
