Dvd Rom Help...

im using asus e616 dvd rom...i used to watch dvd and run cd with it...but now....it can only read cd....when i insert a dvd game or dvd movie....a msg will pop up and say "Please insert a disk into drive e: "..... can anyone help me with this?

Yes, i think got to do with the driver .. go to Asus official website .. and search for the latest patch .. I dont have a DVD-ROM, but I heard from ppl. :rolleyes:

Does it happen when u play other normal cd's like games and audio vcd ?
If normal cd can run then dvd cannot run i think its a sensitive rom which chooses dvd to read it, maybe u try borrow an original disc and put it in and see. This is what happen to my sony, It choose disc to play lol . Good luck
