Exhaust mod on perdana v6

May I ask, for a stock 6a12..

what are the modification that I could consider for better power but don't want noisy...

I was told by the exhaust shop that 6a12 extractor are difficult to do thermal wrap, was told to change to after market 4-2-1.
Then for the catalyst, change to hollow.
As for the muffler, stock is semi flow.
Since I don't want noisy, stick to it but if I want more power, bullet is definitely worth considering.

I'm a manual 6a12, thanks in advance

there is no 4-2-1 for V6. its 6-2-1 (Hotbits design) or 6-4-2-1 (Powerzone design).
normally ppl go for 6-2-1 coz its easier to find and got other ppl do the same design.

delete the catalytic converter, meaning remove it and replace with mid-side or large bullet.
get those bullet with normal straight flow type not those swirl type.
remember to get the same 2" diameter.

muffler get those s-flow/reactive type mufller.
i always recommend ppl to get Tanabe Hyper Medallion as its sounds good on rev but silent on idle.

OK, thanks. Straight and simple for a noob like myself.

Guess I can't do thermal wrap on stock header or even paint, too tedious.

Thanks!:adore:

Thermal wrap on 6A12 extractors is doable - DIY style - just need some patient and tools, no need go to workshop. You don't need to go to the ceramic coating extreme.

I didn't try it, but i guess you need remove the heat protectors. The front extractor is reachable from above, but the rear one you need to slide underneath the car to do it.

wow, amazing..

i didn't know for 6a12, the extractor got 2 portion.. no wonder, no one wants to do it..
well, let me try my luck again.

Ceramic coating is doable.. just whether the cost you can accept of not.. need to dismantle and send to kl ceramico..

of course, two banks of pistons, so 2 extractor/exhaust manifold.
rather than coating it, why dont u do other stuff.

whats the reason u wanna do coating? reduce heat?

get TSD boron nitriade coating to coat certain parts.u are afraid that heat will cause other parts to rosak earlier right? also change hood with vent or jack up the hood la.

balut with bandage can. if u changed to aftermarket 3-2-1 it will be easier to wrap. Then front bumper open alot lubang, or go those bodykit shop find those people custom made, ensure the front hole is wide enough

unless open pod inside there got effect abit la. stuck in traffic.

im not sure if i asked or someone did before, when use open pod the aircond like weaker. not so cold.

i dont think open pod filter will affect aircond.
it will affect AF ratio, which in turn will affect performance.
say if the open pod location is in the middle of the engine area, then the heat may affect it as it will suck hot air.
but if the open pod is located to the front area like the battery area (put battery in the boot), then it can suck cool air.
example like accelerating in the middle of the nite, or during hujan, the car feels 'livelier'..

btw, im using blitz open pod, aircond no problem..
