I would suggest you adjust the "striker" or hinge on the car body. This takes forever and you have to be patient. It also requires special tool which can be bought at ACE. I did this long time ago and it was worth it but must do it slowly.
khoo, the hinge will be out of place after sometime because always open and close door. Coupe door is more heavy so the closing force is very strong. Hence causing the hinge to be out of place. Just re-adjust it and re-tighten the bolts. I also do this when I find the door hard to close and have to slam very hard. To avoid the hinge to be out of place so soon try closing the door more gently. I saw some people close door like want the door to fall off..slam!
LOL actually the doors bothered me so much. The trick is to be patient and adjust small amounts until its perfect. The best is to go to a painter/panel beater. They expert already. oh btw my labour charges cheap only, just feed me beer :P
after market scissors door didn't change the stock hinge one right? before the door move up you still need to open a bit like normal door then push upwards...last time i saw David's car also like this.
The special tool to adjust the striker that Dev mentioned earlier is the Torx key size T-40. lend it or buy it.
Also try to put tiny amount of "rubber type grease" on the rubber seal outside the door frame that come into contact with the inner part of the body seal when you close the door.
Also put some grease on the slider that hit the striker and body to door hinge.
But don't expect it will easily be close with a push of a finger like Merc door. It's normal to push with a little force to close fd3s door. But if you have to slam it like mad bull then you have to adjust it. Adjust the striker with the windows rolled down.
The problem i have is i was just driving and was boosting in 3rd gear and when i shifted into 4th the turbo wouldnt boost, ive looked at the boost controller and it is not boosting past negative.
I have a few options...
I'm planning to get a new wheels for my Evo7. When I search on line, there's Rota P45 & P45R. Are P45 and P45R the same thing?(They look the same to me).
